i take the stance that what you did was not right. i see where you’er coming from and want every single point to count. however, this shouldn’t be done at the expense of others. sure, they can invite others, i am sure they knew that. but the fact is, it’s courtesy to join up with a group and stick until the end. emergencies aside, if you can’t set apart 1 hr for a dungeon, then don’t form a group.

i do feel your group overreacted as well, but you are saying “i am more important than you” when you left the group. you didn’t even let them know ebfore hand. again, the point isn’t that they could have easily found another person.. it’s that by committing to a group, you ditched them after 1 level. if you had let them known from the get-go and they didn’t mind, that’s another story.

what you could have done, or what you should do next time is, start a LFG like someone mentioned, specify “lvl 1 frac 1 level for daily!” am sure a TON would join you because i know many are like-minded as yourself and wnt every single AP they can get and hate fractals.

I know i didn’t tell them i would leave after i get my daily, but reporting me just because i don’t have enough time to complete all the 3 fractals is a bit eccessive.

They told me i’m an idiot, why i ask myself, i’m just playing as i want and at the moment i was just completing dailies and the daily does not force me to complete all 3 fractals.

You were being selfish and rude to the others, getting your gain at their expense.

I don’t think what you did is considered an offense under the ToS, but I would have reported you as well just in the hope that it was.

If that was a bannable offense, about 80% of the GW2 community would be perma-banned. Honestly, I hope the people that reported YOU would get banned for abusing the report feature. Sure, what you did was a kitten move, but you didn’t grief them, you didn’t do anything whatsoever that warrants a ban.

Tbh, your tryieng to justify something that is pretty rude, by saying that is how you play. In a fractals it can be hard to find another member, also if the whole group is having a hard time in the first place, yeah it may take a couple of minutes, if the group dont just get apart from the moment you leave.
If you need to do your dalies, its probably best to do something easiere, and something that doesnt hurt other people. I dont like to say it, but that was a pretty awfull selfish move, specially if you actually didnt have anything to do after.
Next time write that you only want to do dalies and then they can find another one to join them, or that you will find some1 to join them after that 1 fractal.

I know there are easier dailies but i’m collecting every AP i can from dailies from 5 days ago while they announced the new rewards so that AP was important to me.

why would there be? he didn’t tell them because it’s unnecessary. because one leaver is such an easy problem to solve it’s not even worth mentioning. so maybe it’s less drama if he doesn’t bother telling everyone. because one of them might just be stupid enough to take offense to it.

also did we stop being human at some point where we should be placing the interests of random people over the internet you’ve never met and will never meet now? I’m not saying you should grief and dump pugs with your guildie at maw on a 48 fotm run for more guildies, but this guy just went in, got what he needed, left, and this effects the party in no way whatsoever.

Doesn’t really matter if you know them or not. Just treat everyone nice. Think of the feelings of others, rather than just what’s good for you. You join a team, so play like a team. Don’t ditch them after you got your reward.

There are countless people in real life who you don’t know, yet most of us would be nice to them anyway, and think of their feelings. And sure, leaving a group isn’t a terrible crime. But it is a rather rude thing to do.

This thread serves little purpose now other than to aggrevate and serve as a list of players to block.

Sounds likes somebody is too used to playing single player, you do know those are real people you’re playing with right?…

They have multiple options for dailies so if you don’t have time, you don’t have to do the Fractal daily.

With the amount of options available, it seems like a pure use up to join a group then leave when your daily is done. Poor attitude.

I think there is 10 options for dailies, it’s not like Arena Net is forcing you to do the Fractal for for your daily.

Yeah..I mean at the very least, if you plan to leave early you should tell your group ahead of time. Or go with friends who want to do the same thing. I know you can just invite a 5th person, but it’s still annoying when someone leaves in the middle of a dungeon and sometimes it can be hard to find another person. Sometimes if one person leaves and you don’t have a good group, other people might ditch too. Like, I definitely think it’s dumb to report someone for leaving a dungeon early, but intentionally ditching a group is really rude.

And if you were at 2/3 you could have just finished and gotten all your rewards anyway. Personally I’d always rather do a full lv 10 run to get all the rewards, than to just do 1 or 2 instances to complete a daily.

After reading a bit more in this thread..Well first of all it’s clear that you’re really NOT a dungeon runner. Anybody who actually does dungeons/fractals at all regularly knows how rude it is to just leave like that. And it’s really insensitive to join a group of 5 people, and then decide your personal needs are superior than that of the groups. Essentially you’re just using them like objects to get what you need. What I’d suggest to you, sir, is to go and actually DO dungeons. Like real, explore path dungeons. And the kittenes. And the higher level, full fractals. Do them on a regular basis and then you’ll understand why you should respect your group.

Why? Because it is, that’s why. You got a group, have them do their job, and then at your leisure say “okay female dogs, now I have something else to do, fornicate off” and leave. Heck, what if he’s the instance owner? Everyone except the kitten are fornicated, the kitten just continue being a kitten. But that’s probably why kittens are kittens: kittens can’t identify themselves as a kitten
