[Request] Purple fractal skins.
My sugestion is to make them a rare (to super rare) drop from the bosses in each cm’s and future cm’s (include the old cm’s we already have).

CMs are fine, challenging achievements are fine, Queen Gauntlent-style gambits are fine, solo challenges (which you have to enter without party) are fine, but please, for the love of god, stop with the mindless RNG grind. For once I’d like to see an actual challenge in this game, challenge based on your skill, reactions and class knowledge. Not some stupid dice rolls that you have no control over whatsoever.

Yeah because doing the cm’s once and getting the skins is such an amazing feat…
Id also be ok if they were a guarantee drop from soloing the 100cm bosses. But theres literally no problem with RNG so long as it doesnt block grear progression or power aquisition from yo (which neither happens n this game so…).

It is just as much of a feat as beating the CMs a 100 times. Literally no difference. If you want mindless grind for “prestigious” skins, you already have… well… this entire game. For once I want a skill-based challenge. Dumping hundreds of hours into something you’ve already done isn’t a challenge. Soloing bosses is.
I thought that’s what most people in this subforum want. A real challenge. Something that only a handful of players can complete due to their skill and deep knowledge about the game. Not another zombie grind that can be completed by everyone given enough time.
I dont disagree with that but something like “complete a cm once” doesnt cut it. Again id like a sign of prestige or dedication. Dedication is the easier of the 2 to add but id prefer prestige. But again running something as “solo the current cm” will be a grind in it self considering the amount of tries it will take to get it (for some), but kitten that i dont mind.
Yes plz <3 also change the focus model to the one that is previewed above. Current ingame model is kitten

Most of the people in this subforum aren’t anything close to most of the people who do fractals regularly. It’s not a sufficient reason for choosing one acquisition over another.
I’m all in favor of more skill-based acquisitions, even if that means there will be more skins I can’t (or won’t be able to) acquire. All the same, I recognize that might not be what’s best for the game.

I do like the purple skins shown in the OP. Be great to see them in the game no matter how they were acquired.
Yeah tbh i just want to see these darker looking ones with the balck and purple effect. I mean since theres already a recolour theres no issue with adding more :/
All the same, I recognize that might not be what’s best for the game.
Offering diversity is precisely something that IS best for the game. GW2 already does a great job attracting new and casual players, since it’s extremely easy and 99% of the content can be cleared by anybody and provides no challenge whatsoever. If Anet wants to seize an opportunity, they should design more content for hardcore players and long-term fans of the franchise. I see good people losing interest in this game and leaving it every day, because of the reasons mentioned above. The section of the community I’m representing wants challenge in this game. Not mindless grind. That’s gonna achieve nothing and attract noone, because this game already has plenty of it.

Purple does look a tad nicer than gold.
Personally I wouldn’t mind either way of implementation. Either a grind making them prestigious or some challenge mode way, both fine by me.
It’s unfortunate that fractal skins have become such a seldom sight, though that might also be due to the vast amount of newer skins available in the game.
It used to show something pre hot be it dedication or w/e fractals skins were rare and had value. Now one can just go in with no experience in fractals whatsoever poor his wallet and have all the fractaks skills (both normal ones and gold ones). Speakimg of the purple ones they can have it as the new hot thing of the expac. They introduce fractal leaderboards and the pll who clear fast enough to get to top 2 clear speed get to choose 1-2 weapon each. If anet dislikes the idea of soloing stuff.

Dought thats gonna happen but id love to see it happen. The fractal team is a small one so i cant see them adding so many weapons with each fractal. (kinda sad if you think that fravtals are the pve endgame contend for the majority of ppl in the game so it should have a respective personel)
i wish fractals were more advanced actually. more achievements and definitely new challenges involving soloing and lowmanning. for example achievement that only works when party size is only 2/5 for the entire duration, etc.
currently it is very underwhelming when you think about what you can do besides daily t4. wish there was more
Here’s a novel idea, why not have dye channels on the fractal weapons then you can pick any colour you want for the particle effects etc.
Can we stop getting recolors of the Fractal weapons and have them work on Fractal armor sets instead? Have those be the crazy prestige items, however they’re acquired, but we don’t need more iterations of the same stuff.

Idk i realy dig these weapons and weapong give more detail in combat with the various coloured trails than armor. But well fractal armor would be cool. Besides, i would much rather get cooler looking frctal weapons than w8ing for the next expac to bring me the armor set.

I’d like to see the existing weapons all get trails first. Scepter, warhorn, staff, and a couple others have no trail right now and it’s a bit sad-making.

I’d rather see the current two partial sets for nightmare (green and purplish) expanded to full sets. Still, the general idea is good (and the purple fractal skins do look nice).
And to not make it too much of a grind i’d suggest that the drop would not be the skin or weapon, but a box offering full selection within that set.
