Guild Wars 2

hello,

i want to get myself soldiers armor for my elementalist, but as karma is rather rare today I want to buy myself this via wvw, SE, HotW and AC – though I am not entirely sure about the dungeons I will chose.

AC I know, WvW is my “endgame” but I did never play SE or HotW before and because of that I wanted to know what you think about the different paths they offer.
Which are fast, easy or just feeling better than other ones?

HofTW p1 and SE p1 are very short paths, you can pug and finish then with no problem. I personally like the HofTW light armor skin.

SE p3 is easy too, but there are some skipping parts that you need someone to teach you how to do.

So, the easiest would be doing SE path 1 and 3, those are easy to speed-run.

HofTW p2 and 3 are easy imo, but they have water combat and are longer, they last like 30 minutes.

HoTW is a bit more HP spongy and straightforward than SE.
Other than that, they’re pretty much the standard dungeon.

The commonly run paths are 1 and 2 of HoTW and 1 and 3 of SE.

Among those I think SE Path 1 feels the best.
The running obstacle at the start basically proves that if they wanted to make skipping sections actually entertaining they could with proper design, there’s another easy but unique little obstacle section, and then Tazza and her Golems round out the dungeon by being decent final bosses. The midbosses are little unspectacular, but from start to finish the place has good variety and solid experiences with virtually no bugs and pretty minimal cheese potential.

Among those I think SE path 3 and HoTW path 1 feel the worst.
SE path 3 because it’s among one of the more cheesey buggy experiences in the game. HoTW path 1 because I just spend the whole dungeon dreading the ten flippin’ minutes I’ll be spending with Ginva.

Try them all. There is no need to be scared of these dungeons.

SE1 is very fast but it has enough difficulty that bad groups can fail.
SE3 is of average length and difficulty. PuG groups skip a lot of mobs.
HOTW is generally of average difficulty but quite long. It’s not so much fun either.

if you’re going to be pugging these mostly, i’d say SE P3 and HotW P1 (straight forward, but all bosses in HotW are HP sponges ://) would be safest bets. though, for that reason, won’t be the quickest, but they aren’t TOO long by any means. i feel HotW P2, 3 take too long.

if you can find a group and can reliably do SE P1, it’s probs the most “efficient”.

You can also get them with your badges of honor if you got some lying around.

yeah i know, i’ll definitely buy myself some armor with badges.

so it seems like SE p1/p3 and HotW p1 are relatively fast, so with these, ac p1 and wvw i can get myself the armor quickly
