SUBJECT 6
Nah. You can do it easy mode with proper power comp, but it only allows you to skip mechanics. With pug group just kill the oozes and cc vets.
I think the problem here is T3. In this tier you don’t have that many experienced players. Most of them are on the road to T4 and there Subject 6 can still be an issue but not that much than in T3 I guess.
If you can’t burn him down quick enough then you just need to slow your DPS enough and actually kill the oozes. If you never mess up that mechanic, it’s a cakewalk.

I agree with both these statements.
Subject 6 requires that all five of you follow the same plan. The two strategies are:
- Burn so quickly that oozes won’t reach the boss quickly enough to matter. I think we can safely assume that T3 PUGs can’t reliably do this.
- Slow & steady — do just enough DPS to generate oozes slowly. Focus-kill them as they appear and drop everything to CC the Vets.
Even for method 2 which should work with just about any team, I wouldn’t assume that people are familiar with how to make it happen. Accordingly, I’d type out the overview in chat, ask everyone what CC they are bringing, and target the oozes. Bonus suggestion: set up a CC rotation (e.g. mesmer focus pull for little oozes, etc.). Safety suggestion: don’t CC the boss; save it for the vets (that’s terrible for experienced groups, since it makes things much slower; it’s important for PUGs since the boss isn’t the most dangerous mechanic).
I haven’t done t3s in ages but based on my experience in t4s i would say people usually fail due to attacking the boss when he is blocking. Just don’t do it and make sure your teammates don’t do it either or kick them if they continue to do so.
You don’t need high dps to kill it really, some Ccs for adds could be nice tho.

LFG is filled with bad players that have no idea what they’re doing and do like 1/3 of the dps they suppose to do.
subject 6 is about dps and interrupting him while he blocks which warr with might signet is needed or jsut take 2 necros to epidemic to kill all adds.
DPS is a way to make Subject 6 faster, but it is not really required to kill it. Deal some damage, kill some oozes, wait for the shield to expire, repeat. You can do it with autoattacking. The problem usually is players get stuck on “deal some damage” phase, get swarmed with oozes and can’t manage them fast enough which makes the boss heal and stomp you. When I get in a group like this I switch my focus completely on the oozes.
I have not as bad if an experience when I heal PUGs on T4. Usually we do it 1st try, sometimes a Vet slips though and we pull back to recover.
Bear in mind that Sub 6’s 2 unique debuffs (corrode armor & corrode weapon) are technically conditions, that can be removed and transferred, so clearing them can make your time easier.
I once gave him 19 Stacks of corrode weapon… his bounce only did 23 damage to me.
Also try to time your DPS spike on the vets with the CC break to use the most out of that sweet 50% bonus. You only get one of it because CC usually doesn’t recover in time for a second one.
We just wait for the first block to expire maybe auto attack a bit and than burst.

This only works with full buffs (quickness, alacrity, might, fury).

It works without it. My static never has anything close to ideal buffs. It does take proper coordination, which can be hard to come by in a PUG.
In pugs I assume people know the mechanics and will not just gamble the last green ooze. I give them 1 grace wipe before I explain. If it fails again, they get kicked and start over. In t4 fractals, people should not have a hard time with this in the least, but you still see it…

It may be for static groups and the likes, but not for the average T4 pug. There you can be happy if they don’t pop his shield and switch to the adds quickly enough.
