Sabetha - Bandit Sapper Aggro
There seems to be specific places that grant aggro. I can reliably get the first bomb 100% of the time. The second and third i know roughly where to stand to get them. But doesnt work all the time. I think thats just because i dont know the exact spots and rules for aggro.
I suspect its positioning before the sapper actually spawns. Which is why people who stand in the same place as me for the first bomb dont get it. But i do.
I play a druid and can also reliably get the first bomb at south as I kite the napalm at range. However, when for example the north cannon is up, it is usually the one that comes back from destroying the west cannon that get’s the sapper aggro, not me. I can’t exactly make a reliable pattern of it yet.
It might have something to do with whoever stands closest to the jump pad where the cannon spawns. Hopefully someone can shed some more light on this.
Well its definitely not who stands closest to the jump pad for every bomb. Because im the range kiter and im almost always closest and it doesnt target me when i maintain that position. 3rd bomb seems to target someone in melee thats on the west side of Sabetha. No idea what aggro rule is applying there. x)
First bomb i stay south ranged and then move up when the fire wall comes up. I move into melee towards north west to get the bomb 100% and throw it for south cannon before the flame comes round.
Second bomb i usually get by being west and i just chuck that on Sabetha.
3rd bomb seems to always target west side in melee. Which just happens to be our west cannon killer 90% of the time. x)

Heard a few times that hitting the sapper aggros them to you. Never tried it myself.

When I hit the bandit sapper as soon as it spawns it doesn’t notice me. It must have something to do with positioning. But it’s not necessarily whoever stands closest to the sapper or to the jump pad.
Edit: We know the green bomb has a 800 range. So maybe it is whoever stands the furthest, but not further than 800 range.
