Scaling: maw agony vs AR
The scaling doesn’t matter because difficulty 50 is a brick wall, and has been for months.
Difficulty 40 is doable with as little as 25AR and a stacked group (2+ Guardians and people who have utility resses).
They ran out of ideas/content for FotM a long time ago and were rustled that people made it to 80 so they added a hard cap.
i know they added a hard cap at 50. i was wondering about what their plan was for the future to unhardcap it. as far as i see it they have three options. they can either rework the equation for AR vs agony so 50ar scales to protect u from 1172% dmg per second, they can nerf the agony 50 maw does, or they can give us enough AR to survive its current attack (i dont think this is viable)
but im talking more specifically about 40. maybe a dev can help me understand the reasoning here, but it frustrated me that after i thought i had finally made it to where logically i wouldnt die @40 maw, i got destroyed.
are fractals truly so hopeless?
Fractals are indeed hopeless. Players expectations that game content can scale infinitely with fresh mechanics and increased risk/reward have not been met. How could the designers have failed so badly at something so trivial?
There’s got to be a cap somewhere. It might as well be 50 as 150. A lower cap just saves players from their own determination to waste as much time as possible in their ambition to push the game to the limit and then claim it’s broken.
i know there has to be a cap somewhere, but it shouldnt be before the skin drop rate becomes reasonable
