Seriously PLZ fix this issue somehow
Well a lot left the game exactly where you are, the 30- 80 dead zone. Exactly because as you said, Arenanet didn’t gave us a minimal reason to even think to help low players like you. So, keep playing until 80 and join us for exploited fractal runs and some exploited dungeon speedruns if a group happens to pop asking more (remember to learn how all fractal and dungeon exploit works or you’re kicked), or leave, noone is planning to help you until you’re 80 allowing you to have some fun ingame

I made from level 35/40 to level 80 nearly always doing dungeon explorable runs through pug announces I found all other the place. Ascalon Catacombs in particular was always busy and always easy to find a group ! Then later I switched mostly to Twilight Arbor to get some more desirable tokens. I don’t see how you can have such a problem unless you are playing in a dead world. Try the http://gw2lfg.com/ for this particular problem then.
The only time I got kicked from a group for my level was when I mistook the Sorrow’s Embrace level with another dungeon :p And I wasn’t level a particularly useful alt class like a guardian either.
When you have to run the same paths over an over, it gets a little tiring retraining newbies each run. So eventually, everyone stops carrying newbs. Find another group of newbs that need to learn and muscle through it like everyone else or find a guild to teach you. All I can say. If you’re not in a guild in a game called guild wars you’re doing something wrong.
I felt exactly the same way as you, but it doesn’t have to be so!
Before this game came out I organised quite a few people together using GW2guru, and the GW2 Facebook page advertising for a guild etc – Managed to get 30 or so people together for the beta and pre-release. Everything was great at the start I was leveling up to level 40 on my Elementalist playing with guildies did AC story…
But then I went PvP and my leveling stopped, and then I moved house and had no internet, and then quite a few of the guildies left the game entirely… It got to December and I realised I wasn’t even level 80 yet with only AC story mode done and 3 guildies that still played. Deciding I wanted to go PvE was a depressing week ¬.¬. That was the first time I discovered the ingame LFG tool (what a joke) and the LFG site. But that was just fractals fractals fractals which I didn’t (and still don’t really) understand, because I missed the whole fractals weekend when I moved house! o.0
Getting to the point: It was me who decided to change that. I messaged a couple of friends and guildies who still played and demanded, I mean, motivated a team for GW2 Dungeons. You only need 5 people to complete every aspect of this game and I was going to find them!!
To date there are currently 4 of us and we can only run Dungeons with all 4 of us together on a Friday or late Saturday evening due to our working shift patterns, but you know what? It’s been a blast! Last week was AC week. We did story mode to get everyone up to the same level and then ran AC (all three paths together) having advertised for 1 more random to join our n00b team. During the rest of the week we were 3 or 2 members pugging the rest using the website, and it was still fun, especially if you advertise for n00bs like you!
Then this week, literally last night was CM week! Story mode and then path 1 and 2, again advertised for 1 random to come with n00bs and a lovely Norn warrior showed up who helped us through. She was going to skip and tell us the exploit paths but we told her we didn’t want to skip anything and play it through properly and she was totally fine with it! Had to disappear before path 3, (since we took so long figuring out the barrels for path 2) but an elly came with us, again wanted to exploit by hitting mobs through walls, but we said we don’t “cheat” and again, totally fine with it!
CM now completed!
What I’m trying to say, is this game is what you’re going to make of it. I was on the verge of quitting before I rallied some people together, even if it’s just once a week. We have all the time in the world to get this game completed, and theres plenty of other stuff (WvW, tPvP, Jumping puzzles, legendaries, dynamic events) to keep you occupied as well as actually going out with friends in real life!!
Hell, if you’re on Desolation and want to join us come along!!

Call yourself quite lucky bro. If that chain of events didn’t happened and they answered “Sorry what, carry you? Erm.. maybe later oke?” you left yet, now. Appreciable story, not so much replicable. I wouldn’t suggest this game to any friend buying the game now not even my worst enemy, frankly. And not because i could carry them, i wish, but i’m one, i should find 4 fools to buy this game and take their blame about constant junkpatches online, and every other complain we can see on this forum about everything because let’s be honest, there is nothing good on this game, much less for a newbie. When arrived at lv30, pray to be lucky like Towren and with a big spirit to insist believing tomorrow is a better day. I wish it wasn’t just a beautiful quote of a movie..
gw2lfg makes party gathering a real magic. Never been queued for more then 10 minutes for story mode for any dungeon for any of my alt toons. It could be time zone issues but dungeons are cross-server and you almost always hit prime time.
Hardly even remember any world event made alone in 1-40 lvl. In map chat channel all events are even announced alot.
So may be you are playing different game? xD
Sadly no LFG tool makes it difficult for new players to find a group, fortunately once you know about gw2lfg.com it’s much easier, just post your level and make sure you specify that you are new to the dungeon someone’s bound to help you out, I would.

http://gw2lfg.com/ use this. As a level 80 I recently decided to run every single story mode and on underworld server I was able to find enough people for it, but if you’re on a low population server this helps a great deal. You see there’s a good mechanic in those story modes – you have to re-run then on every alt, making sure that there would ALWAYS be somebody needing the story mode
Anet should advertise gw2lfg.com in-game. On map chat or something. I know it sounds ridiculous but not everyone comes and visit the forums or reddit.
I reckon more than a few people have left the game because of no in-game LFG tool and being unaware of gw2lfg. So far the dungeons are the only thing that have kept me playing and it’ll be a shame to hear people missing out.
Or they could, I don’t know, but a LFG tool in the game instead of putting off the responsibility to a 3rd party. What happened to holding a company accountable?
I’ve given up hope for an in-game LFG tool…
But you’re right
You need to find a guild that does things like this:
http://www.reddit.com/r/GW2_Guild/comments/163qt9/dungeon_story_saturday_011213_2pm_est/
Sanctum of Rall
http://www.reddit.com/r/Reddit_Refugees – Visit the site for Recruitment!
Or they could, I don’t know, but a LFG tool in the game instead of putting off the responsibility to a 3rd party. What happened to holding a company accountable?
This has nothing to do with accountability. You make it sound like they are breaking the law and bribing public officials to cover their tracks. There is a need for a feature and it has not yet been implemented yet; this is not accountability, this is “we would like ANet to devote time and money to making us happier.”
They are working on it. They have said as much. So many people assume it is simple, but lets look at the reality.
They have sold over 2,000,000 copies of the game. Assuming this is all they sold, then if 10% of the population is online at once, that is 200,000 people that might be looking for a group. Let us further assume that only 1% of the online player base is looking for a group. That is 2,000 data points to be processed by the user. I don’t know about you, but I don’t want to look through 2,000 “LFG” and “LFM” posts to find what I want. We need search criteria to make the feature worth anything.
What search criteria is needed? What content should be allowed (list the dungeon, or the specific paths? What about world events, story quests, etc.?), what about group creators that want to restrict applicants by level and/or class, what about all those other things that a full-featured group tool should support, like buttons to join, whisper, etc.? What about the time to have the artists create the assets, the testers to run it through its paces, and so on? Simultaneously, lets not forget we’ve asked the same people to provide us with new content at no additional cost and fix existing content. What about people on different servers—will it help get those groups together and explain how to pseudo-guest? What if, as is the case for story quests, it is restricted? What changes will have to be made when full guesting goes live?
Now face the reality that the earlier numbers are aiming low; the system has to handle a minimum of tens of thousands at once because, once it goes live, people will use it instead of chat—increasing the strain to which it is subject tremendously. If the goal of the system is to filter 100,000 posts down to a reasonable number, rest assured the usability concerns are non-trivial to work out as the goal of the designers is to match the exact desires of the searcher with the offerings of a provider, without complicated UI wizardry or false positives, but certainly no false negatives.
Creating a makeshift LFG tool only to replace it with another in a short time is generally a waste of effort and causes issues with user training; why learn one tool only to have it replaced within the next couple months?. It is most certainly a waste of effort when equivalent functionality has been provided by the community as a stop-gap while waiting for the real deal.
If you are so dead-set on an in-game LFG tool, use the same tools we used in EQ, GW1, SWG, and others; chat.

I don’t know if this was said or not yet. But you do not need to do the story mode of a dungeon in order to do the explorable. It is only required if you yourself want to start the explorable dungeon. As long as one party member has done story mode once, that person just needs to be first to enter to start it as explorable.
So basically just run explore mode alot, you will gain a level or more for each path you do plus all the chests/loot/tokens. Story mode…well just keep trying and eventually you will get it done.
Also instead of being one of the masses out there shouting in Ashford Plains mapchat LFG for AC Story, simply change it to LFM AC Story, even if by yourself. It will fill up with a couple likeminded people pretty dang quick.
Post for any remaining slots on gw2lfg.com and it will fill up quickly. I’ve run ac story many times.
However, devs, please consider adding incentive to run story modes for ppl who have done them and/or are already level 80. Even if its a diminished returns 20 tokens type reward. Just please dont tie them in with other DR for that dungeon, make it have its own story mode DR. thanks.
