Hello,

I’ve been running fractals for 4 months so far and never really bothered with those crystals until I’ve completed tier 3 Ad Infinitum collections and it’s time for me to craft the Unbound. However, once I checked my bank for mats I realized that I only had enough resources for 2 shards lmao So yeah, any tips on farming those? Kind of bugs me I had so few since I rarely missed all fractal dailies at all. Does MF affect the drops?

Your best bet to get them is running 51+ fractals. I personally farmed the 52 volcanic fractal and repeatedly killed the regular grawl that spawn at the beginning. Yes your MF matters, and will help getting them to drop more.

Kind of bugs me I had so few since I rarely missed all fractal dailies at all.

Stop putting dirt on Mossman’s roof. The Molten Duo is also getting tired of jumping onto the platform.

For example, Dredge, Thaumanova and Ascalon are the way to go for getting shards. Easy peasy.

you can just upgrade the lower versions into this one on the mystic forge,
globs and vials.

I second 52 Volcanic farm. I farmed up about 20 Shards in a couple days and not a single person I ran with got less than 3 Shards per hour. Some people like to farm 60 Jade Maw thinking there’s more veterans to kill thus have a higher drop rate which isn’t the case.

I third? this. 3 hours and around 10 mins spent in the volcanic(52) fractal gave me 6 shards. Was at around 282% MF. Another mate with 488% got around 12 in half that time

All down to RNG MF doesnt play the Big part people say it does,

the average amount spent to max(all 3 infuses) your toon is 3 hours
the average amount spent to get shards for legendary is 3 hours

given the fact that these items last forever, i really really really don’t see the problem in “wasting” a few hour to get best in slot items that’ll last a lifetime
