In the AMA, ANET stated the requirements to craft Ascended back-pieces are inappropriate and should be changed in the future.

Should I bother using those 250 powerful bloods to craft it? Or should I wait?

Or rather, can I expect whatever changes which happen does not make me overpay for my Quiver?

I’d wait. I don’t see the need for it right now.

Hi Bila,

I agree that the crafting materials required for Ascended Gear are to much of a grind and we are looking to balance the requirements in a manner that is fair for all involved and we had always intended for their to be multiple ways to get Ascended Gear it just didn’t make it the FotM build.

Could ArenaNet please clarify whether or not the current Ascended Backpiece skins will be worth crafting instead of waiting for the update? Will the skins be exclusive to this expensive craft?

In other words, are they planning to make it so that if we spend the 150g now on a Quiver, we are not ripping ourselves off?

I don’t think they will answer that question. It’s a gamble and completely up to you, it won’t be more expensive (unless mats price keeps raising) so it’s somewhat obvious to think that those 150g might be 100 or 50g once that build is out.

Unless you really need it, i’d wait if i were you.

I wouldn’t craft it regardless? Run fractals for the token pieces, unless your really want the skin.

After spending huge amount of my in-game wealth to acquire a backpiece (yay RNG rings) I would hate to see it get much easier to get. That would just scream that they have no idea what they are doing with their game.
