Q:
So in 7-2-1 “meta strat” with only 1 war. Should rev upkeep might or even use sigil of strength?

A:
Sigil of strength is unnecessary, but of course the rev should keep the might facet up to give the chrono as much might as possible. The chrono is going to get pretty much zero might from the warrior but can give a lot back with signet of inspiration. And besides, what besides the might facet are you even going to do?
Protection and regen?
Protection and regen don’t do damage. If you’re wanting to have protection for the whole fight you should just bring a guardian. If you’re just needing a short burst of protection (e.g. last phase of sabetha) you can just drop the fury facet because everyone will be stacked to 2+ mins of fury at that point. Regen you’re going to have anyway.
Of course, this is all irrelevant because the mesmer and rev won’t have 25 might consistently so you should be pulsing might whenever possible.
If you don’t have 25 mights, always use the strenght upkeep, eventually when everyone have 40-60 second of fury, you can stop using facet of darkness for a while.
But if your might isn’t capped, always use the facet of strenght
Even in a 7-2-1 with 1 PS, there shouldn’t be much trouble maintaining 25 Might. Only place where it would really matter for DPS would be Gorseval, since every other encounter is less forgiving to DPS.
Considering the number of fire fields and burst skills, I should hope your group could maintain the 25 stacks without a Rev. Heck, with an auramancer and druid using Tiger, and properly geared chrono, you can go without a Rev. Just some ideas.

Regen kinda sucks without healing power. It’s one of the few things in the game with good healing power scaling. 130 per tick from a rev vs 500 per tick from a magi’s ele.
Protection is great though, if you don’t have a guardian.
I have had the Rev run protection over fury before because the druid Tiger gave us enough but since they were just learning healing, it was better for the party. Also, most of the chronos anymore have the 100% boon duration.
In my raid group we run 4, 4 ,2 build using 1 rev 1 chrono 1 ps 2 eles 2 necros and 2 druids for base. The other 1 spot depends on boss we fighting . Ecept in kc 2 nevros are eles. But last spot always whatever dh or thief or necro or ele.
We have no issues with might at all mesmee n rev in own group give plenty if might together . Chrino can give alot of might dur to choas trait line or illsion. Just have to know how to do your roations so u can taje advantage od quickness upkeep might upkeep and still keep up your shield guy to give alacty. Enough. Group make up can easy do all bosses with plety of room for time
