So I was trying my best to guide 4 people trough COE P1. Almost at the end of the last boss and four guys from the same guild decided their guildie had more right to the reward then I did…

I will not ask why the party kick system hasn’t been altered yet, but I do like to ask if some kind GM is willing to at least give me the 60 tokens I was supposed to receive. 60 tokens may not be much, but I see this is a matter principes. Kicking someone who literately carried you trough the dungeon, shame on you..

Since I cannot review the party chat from this party, Iam not able to report these people. Another suggestion to be considered altering for GW2.

That’s why you don’t do dungeons with guilds. Find ways to not get kicked will make dungeons more enjoyable for you.

The kick system has it’s pros and cons, so just find a way to deal with it. It won’t be fixed anytime soon because there are too many issues.

GMs might be able to review more detailed logs than you have access to.

If you remember what time you were doing the dungeon and about what time you got kicked, it may be possible for them to see who was in your party.

Easy solution to prevent getting kicked at end of dungeon.

ALWAYS. ALWAYS. ALWAYS be the one who opens the dungeon. Enter dungeon BEFORE starting an LFG. If they decide to be jerks, and kick you at the end in favor of a guildie, they all get kicked too. So everybody loses.

Also if you can remember which guild it was, you can always try to find the guild leader and report their behavior to them. I would like to think that most guild leaders would frown upon this behavior as it makes their guild look bad.

Even if you do open, Nyn will still kick for lighting people on fire in Arah P1 :P

When you’re the PUG in a 3 or 4 Guildie group don’t offer advice unless people are specifically looking for it. You might ask them if they want any suggestions or common tactics, but don’t start instructing unless they ask you to. Teaching a person that doesn’t want to be taught could potentially make them feel like you’re insulting their intelligence. Just consider this a life lesson learned, and it only cost you a low price of 60 tokens and a gold or so.

Yeah anytime I happen to get in a group full of one specific guild I just leave, better to waste a few minutes looking for a new party than do the dungeon and risk being kicked.

While what they did is certainly a kitten move it’s not against the rules so Anet can’t relay do anything. The best you can do is follow the suggestions people have provided open the dungeon yourself, don’t be the PUG in a guild group, ect so it doesn’t happen again in the future.

Not against the rules may be true, but replacing someone at the end of the dungeon sure is lame..

Actually there is an in-game report option (lfg abuse), but since you don’t know any of the character/account names involved, it’s not much help here. Have you checked the site if there’s any way to email for support, abuse or similar? I guess it’s worth a try.

Unless they actually verbally abused him Anet still can’t do anything, kicking someone for whatever reason ( even if that reason is morally wrong) isn’t against the rules. Anet wont get involved in kicking disputes because it’s basically a “He said She said” situation, for example OP says they kicked him ( not saying i don’t believe him) for no reason they can say he wasn’t playing to their standards, Anet can’t prove one way or the other so the fairest thing they can do is nothing. It’s the same reason they don’t get involved in inter-guild disputes.

if u are the opener u can be shure of anything, they can still kick u, they will be kicked too but you will lose your time….
kick should be allowed by 4 ppl, not only 2, it will help to prevent some “fast click” of someone….

Suuuure, 4 people needing to agree. Imagine I’m selling. That means people can just leech, since I can’t kick them.

And if selling puts you off, just imagine that a group of friends three mans a dungeon until a point where they need two more people, then two trolls join. All this time lost :O

I do not believe that there are any user agreement violations from kicking people at the end of a dungeon. So why even waste your time trying to report these players?

I think it’s actually pretty polite. They forgot Kohler so he went out of his way to make sure they still killed him and what does he get as thanks? Plains of Ashford loading screen wow, people really.

Last night I got the boot for the first time in a while. I joined a “se p1 full zerk” group, get to Tazza, start working on the pull, and read “haha we no tazza noob” (in full caps, ofc). Loading screen.

I had a horrible experience in CM story mode where not only did I get kicked from the party, but they decided to start whisper messaging me in order to mock me over it. They got pretty downright horrible in what they would say. It really put me off dungeons for some time, and back then, I was new so I didn’t know if it was something ANet would look into if I reported the verbal abuse.

I like to think of the GW2 community as a friendly and helpful one, but unfortunately, with things like dungeons and competitive play, you find the most unpleasant people. The only thing you can do is be the instance leader, or start building up that block list.

Sometimes you run into jerks, and let’s be honest, idiots. I got kicked yesturday from end of path 2 for “afking 4 times”, being the guard that took very active part in all bosses and kited the gravelings. The “pros” were later looking for “no noobs” since the 3 of them couldn’t handle a boss, a two man party that knows it would have no issues with. After venting my rage, started my own p2 dungeon, took in normal people, out of which 2 were first timers, and we got it done without issues.

You kind of deserved it tbh. It’s really funny, but totally understandable that they would kick you.

You will pretty much only ever get kicked if you antagonise people in your party, and I know this from experience if people have annoyed me and I’m trying to get a rise out of them. There was one group I joined where a guy was teaching his guildies arah p3 and he got annoyed for rushing ahead to magecrusher (they killed hunter crusher before I joined) so after a few whispers I just escorted everyone else through the skip as it was their group, not mine, so I follow their rules. We kill lupicus (can’t remember if I had to solo… Hazy memory) and then at the end the guy whispers me again asking if he could add me and apologises for his semi-aggressive attitude earlier in the run because he tends to get tryhards sabotaging his runs, but he felt I knew my stuff an he wanted to run with me again some time. So… tldr you will only get kicked if you annoy people.

When it comes to dungeons, it’s always me or my sister who are the dungeon openers. Yeah, I’ve ran into people who thought replacing me with a guild member would be forgivable- next thing they saw was the loading screen outside of the dungeon- this has happened several times in Arah path 2 & path 4 when I would pug & open it- Sometimes the people even think it was THEM who opened the dungeon. Overall though, this has happened to me 4 or 5 times since my 1st lvl 80 a few weeks after release.

My only advice is the approach I use.

I have completed all Story dungeons… so I try to be the person opening all dungeons. Because I PUG 99% of my dungeon runs.

Ultimately, if you haven’t done some of the story modes then I suggest trying to get those complete.

If you’re getting kicked from a group 3 times a week, maybe it isn’t the kick mechanic’s fault…

I just got kicked from arah cuz I didnt ress my pugz after I solo lupi <3 (waypoint was on them). That was staff guard, staff necro, bearbow ranger. Sometimes i got kick for melee lupi and sometimes for not ressing pugs while soloing. #JustPugThings

What do you expect, this game has absolutely no efficient ways to avoid such things.
First of all, there is no decent chatlog. I haven’t even finished my university as a programmer, and i can create a decent chatlog, and Anet cant? More like they don’t give a kitten.

The party system is beyond pathetic as well, when you kick someone, you should be able to select a reason, and then the names of the kickers and the reason should be saved in a log, to make reporting easier in cases of kicking to invite a “guildee” or anyone else.

So easy to implement, and yet they dont, I really wonder if Anet cares about this game at all, other than supplying the Gem store

I think it’s brilliant, I about died of laughter reading it, well done. But yeah that kind of made sense to kick.
However I think this is an issue to some degree Anet can do nothing about. What are they doing to do, suspend accounts for a while whom kick others to make room for friends? It’s not different then the people whom demanded pay to go into fractals, there just jerks. As much as I WANT this society to change, Anet won’t do it by issuing suspensions to anyone who causes mild trouble.

A chat update btw would be very nice, but won’t help.

The solution has been given a thousand times : make sure you open.

Other solutions are :
- get good at the game and have them kiss your feet because you carry.
- overuse smileys like “xD” or “^^” when you are kittened and telling them what to do.
- learn not to care (I’m bad at this one and working on it).
