Me and a friend of mine were wondering which sigils/runes would affect the Mesmer phantasms. It turns out that only Scholar runes affects the phantasms from our testing.
Stuff we tested.

Nothing (to get base values)
1x Force sigil
2x Force sigil
2x Force sigil + scholar runes
2x Force sigil + ranger runes (Without party member)
2x Force sigil + ranger runes (with party member)
2x Force sigil + eagle runes

The general breakdown is that Scholar runes DO work with phantasms, while all other combinations DO NOT work with phantasms.
I haven’t edited out anything in the video, only added some fade through blacks when switching to a new testing method. This is to provide my viewers with an accurate testing sample.
The build used was 10/25/0/20/10 (I forgot to spend 5 points in illusions, but that should not affect testing.)
This also shows that other sigils like Accuracy/Night/Undead/etc should also not affect phantasms at all. I’m wondering if this is simply a bug.
Anyways, my general conclusion from this would be that scholar runes are the best choice for a phantasm centered mesmer. What do you guys think?

Ehm force sigils don’t stack. Ranger runes apply to summons( not phantasms afaik sadly).

Ah he wanted to test it regardless. I told him before they didn’t stack, but since he was looking into the runes and sigil in the first place, why not? Found some interesting stuff. Mesmer could actually get some decent damage if more than just scholar runes affected them like the force sigil.

Scholar rune doesnt affect phantasms, they were hitting for more because the rune itself gives you 165 power and 8% crit damage.

Anything that modifies stats other than Power, Precision, Critical Damage is ignored by phantasms. Heck, even half our traits that improve damage do not apply to our phantasms.

Well kitten (Original tester here) I totally forgot that scholar runes modify the power value too. Guess i was tunnel visioned on the damage modifiers. Thanks for clearing that up everyone!
