Sigil of Accuracy
Restore that which was lost. And all shall be as one.”
A sigil of accuracy is equivalent to roughly 147 precision, which can allow a build to reach certain critical hit thresholds without running things like precision boosting food/utility items.
I may just be blowing smoke, but that’s my theory.

Since posting this, talking to a few people that do high end speedy stuff they told me about a potential meta that might be forming around it.

I already use accuracy on guardian to max out crit chance, I believe the current meta hammer DH build utilizes it (the one vC? posted with their 6 man sabetha).
Currently yes, but I’ve heard that a guild has some sort of unreleased meta involving it that they may release soon. I don’t know but I am just relaying anything I hear back here :p

There’s literally zero reason to use it with a druid in your squad.
Zerk Fresh Air Ele: 102.5%
Zerk Staff Ele with 2x Assassin: 97%
Zerk Thief: 98.52%
Zerk Warr with 2x Assassin: 100.2%
These are the main power classes that use Air sigil, others use different sigils for obvious reasons.
So I don’t see why you’d ever use Accuracy.
Accuracy scales better when you have quickness/alacrity vs Air since that 3 second cooldown isn’t affected by alacrity.
You can run more power vs assassin’s and put in an accuracy sigil instead for Staff Ele. For Fresh Air, you’re already getting extra precision from a trait so no need for it there.
Staff Ele and Guardian are the only places that I use accuracy.
But I thought eles only took sin trinks for ferocious winds, accuracy kinda negates that?
Actually, Enko is right.
I just went and tested it a bit, even with 14 precise infusions Accuracy and full Zerk is better on Staff ele.
The extra precision adds 5 ferocity soooo yea, that’s kinda…..useless xD
For Staff Ele, I run full Berserker’s with Scholar runes and all power infusions.
With Signet of Fire and a Superior Sigil of Accuracy, you’re getting 65.28% crit chance before buffs. With Fury, Spotter, and Banner of Discipline, you cap out so don’t even need precise infusions.
I meant that even if you go Air + 2x Assassin AND 14 Infusions then it’s still not better.
Okay, so I went in to compare sigil of accuracy over sigil of air for staff ele in the most optimal set ups for both with and without Spotter.
In terms of EP, I got following (I disregarded damage multipliers as they will work as linear coefficients which won’t change the comparison):
Without Spotter:
- Accuracy: 13994
- Air: 13460
With Spotter:
- Accuracy: 14163
- Air: 13988
So going accuracy over air we get an increase of 3.97% EP without spotter or 1.25% with. Air sigil seem to have an annoyingly large variance of hitting 1.5-3k. After taking the average of ~50 strikes I got 2126, making it a 709 single target DPS increase. I’d love to take a bigger sample to make this estimation more accurate.
Assuming the damage on a single target is all that matters, then we can calculate the required DPS we need in order for accuracy > air.
- X > 709/0.0397
- X > 709/0.0125
where X is the required DPS and the two cases for spotter and without spotter.
Now the result, remember that the estimation here is with a final DPS number after an entire fight and not a number gotten after dummy practice.
- Without spotter: 17859
- With spotter: 56720
Now make your conclusion! I don’t think there’s a clear winner in the case of no-spotter but Air clearly wins in cases with.
