If you encounter Simin going to stealth every time you get her to 50% no matter how much you beat her, leave combat, let her regen to full and try again.

She is still bugged, why, I don’t know, it is apparently random. But if you notice her going to stealth too fast at 50% you might want to restart it.

Just a small hint to save people some time!

how long did it take you guys to run your sparks?

Not running sparks fast enough usually causes all of the “bugs” that people find. It’s more like a lack of finesse than it is a bug.

Mechanic too hard, must be bug. Needs moar banner rangers.

I dont know, many people complained about this bug, but I have yet to see it, and I run p4 at least twice every day…

I should really upload my solo simin video before i go on vacation…

Or even better, just not go on vacation

On topic: I’ve never seen this bug either, would be nice to see a recording or proper description of what this ‘bug’ apparently is. I feel like it’s probably a misunderstanding of how the boss mechanic(s) work?

I also had this bug when I did arah p4 for the first time, we had to reset simin twice, took us 2 hours, I’m surprised anet didn’t fix it yet, it was the first time for 4 of us, so, like you said, the first try I didn’t really know when people got petrified or not but the 2nd time we were doing pretty good and the bug was still there, the sparks were put in their spots quickly too, anet should really fix the problem.
First try before reset, took a really long while because we thought it was just a boss mechanic, but then it was taking too long and it didn’t really go under 50%, so someone searched and we had to reset…

If she heals back above 50% health, she will stealth at 50% again. The only way that this really happens is taking too long with the sparks. If you can get the sparks in 15 seconds or less the fight goes very smoothly.

first time I did this in a lowish dps pug her health hovered around 50 for a few spark runs as well, I though we hit the pug people are talking about. But eventually the mesmer’s TW came off cd and we got it to 40-45. Then we just slowly chipped away each spark run and eventually killed her. I’m amazed we didnt run out of tears.

Try save all your burst in one single push and see if that can take you through the platoon (if there is one)

If you take the sparks into their “cages” in around 10-15 seconds (which isn’t too hard to manage), you’ll have about 40 seconds to DPS her. If you are only getting 10-15 seconds to DPS her… That’s some REALLY slow spark running.

There’s not a bug, though.

This issue has been discussed so many times and those who brought it up mostly (maybe 99%) are those trying p4 the 1s time.
It’s not a bug. It’s the function of Simin’s regenerating health vs the damage against her within the time allowed before she becomes stealthy and regenerates again. The less time you have for damage and the less damage you have, the more problem you get yourself into.
If you don’t believe me, take 5 warriors in and you will never have that problem. Unless all 5 warriors died by her AoE attacks or waiting for the sparks to run in by themselves.

And if you can’t get your spark runtimes down (or if she seems to be stealthing at 50% repeatedly), have one or two low dps members of your party start running for sparks when Simin is visible, and your high dps members of the group shouldn’t wander off when she is invisible. In fact, your high dps people should still keep doing their rotation in the general area where she stealthed, since I don’t think she’s invulnerable while she’s stealthed (don’t have enough evidence to say that with 100% certainty – can anyone else confirm?) and she doesn’t usually move while stealthed. Did this with multiple groups, including one with two AH knights or soldiers guardians, a support mes, a necro, and my warr – and the four of them were all first timers.

Not hard, not a DPS check, just requires coordination and communication.

It’s still a DPS check. no matter how fast you run spark, you still need quite a bit of dps to kill her.

My guild did a run the first time, not enough dps, failed. The same group goes in with 2 berserker wars, profit.

The issue isn’t a lack of DPS, it’s a lack of technique. Setting her up in a corner where people can stand so they won’t aggro sparks, running the sparks quickly, helping people that are petrified quickly, and not pushing her around the room. I’ve been in groups with PVT Staff Eles and Guardians, people that had never done the path before, and if the fight is set up correctly, having low DPS isn’t really a problem. The problem is a lack of finesse, like I’ve mentioned before.

I agree that finesse is the top issue when dealing w/ Simins. No finesse, bring in the artillery.
Check this 9 mos old video, 2 thieves, 2 rangers, 1 ele They didn’t kill Simin with all the mistakes they’ve made (no finesse), but it’s within their dps reach to accomplish the task at hand. And that was before the patch.

If it takes 10 seconds to bring in the sparks, is it too slow? Cause I just had it too, simin kept going stealth at 50%, while the mechanic is that after the sparks are in you got around 45 seconds to kill her. At least that’s how I knew it. She just kept going stealth at 50%, no matter how long it took to get the sparks in place. So you say the only way to do it is to nuke her below 50% somehow, and in that small time while she heals to 50% we gotta bring in the sparks, which is most likely a few seconds. If this is intended there should be a 10 second window

I guess I’ll do some path 4 runs and record some Simin fights.

Though, I really need to get that thread in my favorites or something, but a dev confirmed the 50% HP bug. Just reset her to full life and go back at it.

However, it is also true that if all your teammates and i mean ALL yourself included are support / heal specced, none dps, you may not have the dps to do her and it will feel like she is bugging while she is actually not. Happened to me once, had to switch to a zerk toon to get Simin’s life to actually start going down… we were intially 5 support specced in the group XD

Trust me she still bugs out. no matter how fast you bring sparks or how high your dps is. She just refuses to go under 50% and you have to reset. Simple as that!
