We tried bears but it just wasn’t happening since they mest the spark aggro up so badly we weren’t getting anywhere with the amount of time to get the sparks in.

In order of how fast the sparks would aggro to nearby stuff: bears >> spirits >> cats/moas > naked rangers. We actually had to reset a few times because a spark would stick to a frost spirit.
We could probably do it faster now that I figured out how to run my three sparks assuming Obal runs his two in first and they park in the right spots. But that would necessitate him not being petrified for the whole battle.

It happened to us on our first try for the last 25% so we redid it. It happened this time when she was very low so we felt it was fine. Blame it on Ranger.

personally, I feel like in a game like this where it’s so kittening easy to max level and gear out (in exotics at least), if you don’t have all classes at 80 you’re a scrubblet

No, GW1 was a game where it was so kittening easy to max level and gear out.
GW2 is a lot worse in that aspect. And it’s not because I’m a scrub, but because I find the leveling process (be it by open world PvE or crafting) so painfully boring it borders with torture.

^ I’ve been levelling my Guardian by swapping it in at the end of dungeons for what feels like a month. Definitely the cheapest and easiest way but certainly not the fastest.
Gear isn’t really an issue, though I might stall a bit getting ascended (laurels and guild commendations, eugh.)

I don’t care how ‘easy’ it is, or how it ‘only takes a week of lazy play’. Every hour I spend leveling in open world is an hour I’d like to poke my own eyes out.
Saying “leveling up in a week isn’t that bad” is like saying that “kitten isn’t that bad, it only takes like 10 minutes”. It doesn’t make the experience any more appealing and any less painful. (I’m sorry I compared leveling up a character with being kitten d, but it’s the first example I came up with)

That’s eight weeks of not doing content I enjoy.
Boredom is also why I skipped on finishing my legendary, I couldn’t do world completion it was that boring.
If I could buy level 80 scrolls from gem store though, I’d have five 80s.
