Q:

so far i am utterly amazed by this game and couldn’t be happier with my purchase, i don’t know if this has been answered yet in other posts but i do not have time to search for (need to play more!).. if so a link to such post would be great.. as is the dungeons seem abnormally hard for something to enjoy while lvling.. i have managed to complete AC(being carried, as if something attacks me i am one shotted), this cannot be gear related, i have best gear for my lvl at all times.. and as for skill related i have enough of that im sure.. i’ve heard people say that they are tuned for lvl 80 characters.. is that true? if so there is no need for this question, but if not here is my question..

is there scaling of difficulty if you enter a dungeon that has been opened for your lvl, if you have higher lvls in you group?.. or are they one set difficulty.(i know it scales lvl and stats to a certain lvl)

for example.. if you have 4 lvl 35s and one 80.. does the difficulty scale to the higher lvl to compensate the difference? or what is going on here?

keep in mind that i enjoy a challenge and i am completely happy regardless.. i will be 80 in no time

People above the level for the dungeon are scaled down. It is not a perfect system, they still have way better abilities then someone who is actually that level. The dungeons being hard is a completely different matter. As a new player they do seem really challenging. Dodging, defensive abilities and timing are very important in this game. Unfortunately as you gain experience and these things become second nature the dungeons start to seem really really way too easy. 1 skilled player can carry an entire group of slackers. Before fractals they had no system in place that accounted for players having skills. Now high end fractals take skill and gear and bundle them into one. It would be awesome if other dungeons were less lenient to experienced players. Hopefully one day that is what the explorable modes will become and the story modes can be used by new players instead of the gold/gear farm they currently are.

Actually it can be gear related in a way. My downleveled lv25 ele was basically out damaging my downleveled lv80 warrior. The reason is fairly simple. My ele had nothing but Power and Precision while my warrior had things spread into vitality, toughness and healing as well. So while you might have best for the level there is still the issue of which stats you have for those pieces.
