And it doesn’t look like I will since everyone is doing explorable only at this stage in the game. Perhaps a rework is necessary to make the story mode a solo mission or at least add in a few npcs to lend a hand. Been trying to do AC for a while now and no one is interested in the lowly story mode. FotM only compounds the issue, and new players will see no benefit in doing the old dungeons…nor the possibility since no one else is doing them. Sigh.

AC story can already be soloed. I am sure some others can be soloed, too if you are skilled.
Also trivializing already easy content 3 months after release because people are too lazy to search a group is a bad idea.

They should just make it so completing an exploration mode counts as completing story mode for progression.

That way people with alts can just move along, while leaving the option for people to gather to complete story for just that – story.

Havent done it myself but it is possible to make a cross realm party. Add me Im rocky mountain time. There you go “lf3m AC story”

Also be patient so just do the exploreable runs while keeping your eye out for lfg story mides. Throw out your own lfg story mode too. We did cm story last night and it did take up to an hout to find the fifth member. Btw did Anet make cm story easier we steamrolled it.

There must be a dungeon running guild out there. Id imagine they make sure everyone gets story modes done once in a while.

And once you get your story mode done make sure you help out when you see others in your situation. Stay positive

TBH, most Story modes are harder than Explorable modes, why not just add tokens for the 2nd and subsuquent completions. The only reason no-one is willing to run story more than once is that it gives practically no rewards compared to explorable. Which is a shame as some of them are really fun.

According to the GW2LFG site at the moment I posted 9/211 entries have people LFG for story mode (I am including all dungeons). 3/9 players are looking for AC story as of right now. This is a sample of everyone across all servers. Players within the server are similar. I suppose it would be possible to log how many Fractals/exp vs Story mode there is, but only someone with a blindfold would say there is no difference.

Think of that. 9/211 players want to do story mode, and 3/9 of those want to do the same as him. You think that is working as intended?

Now lets fast forward two years and two expansions. You think story will still be holding up?

sadly, that is the case now.

@OP, i’ve only ever done AC and CM story. i don’t know them well (for obvious reasons) but willing to run ‘em again with ya. LF2M now ; )) though timezone permitting as i am GMT+8, in Hong Kong. usually on the weekends you’ll find me on all day.

and going forward, if you’re looking to do any of the other story modes as well, i need them as well ; ))
