So...Legendary Armor...?
Well, what? The patch dropped, what, 20 minutes ago?
I don’t know what progress the release of the final raid wing makes towards legendary armor, but we’re unlikely to know anything more than you do right now.

im no raider but even i thought “uh-oh” when there was no mention of it. Seriously these guys have been doing this hardcore content and anet doesnt say anything? Tsk tsk bad move
The new trend appears to be to just piecemeal rewards and content to players.
Legendary armor is not in it seems. At least was not data mined. Pretty disappointing that Anet splits every little thing in several pieces. We waited for legendary armor since HoT release and now this. One of the two major disappointments of the patch.

This is a pretty glaring omission of information especially in light of the legendary weapons being put on hold indefinitely.
Am I out of line in assuming that Legendary armor could be put on hold indefinitely as well due to the precedent set by the Legendary Weapons remaining incomplete?

There’s always that chance and it could just be written off as “well you got a set of ascended armor for it with a unique skin”.
There is some precursor (i hope precursor) skins in the wardrobe. Type “experimental envoy” to check em out. They look like absolute garbage in my opinion, but hey, even if they looked decent, I don’t raid so I wouldn’t be bothered anyways.
Someone may have found the recipe to one of the gifts. I only say “may” since they didn’t complete the forge.
What if the skins don’t show in the wardrobe until you unlock them and data miners were asked not to reveal them?
Anet can’t censor data miners because they’re not under NDA or employed by Anet.

Honestly I found envoy armor to be VERY underwhelming, specially the light one (seriously what’s up with the hip cape? we’re not all Victorian mages here). If anything I’ll raid for the sake of it, but not in a hurry to get that armor at all.
The only saving grace, aside from changing stats (which is not that much of a bonus assuming I already have sets I need to begin with, since I’m raiding), is if using other skins do not remove the walking effects or whatever other special effects they add to the armor.
Lets not forget the boob-plates. Why boob plates? Generic heavy armor. Medium armor looks KINDA like light armor, thats new. This is not looking good for the legendaries BUT then again, only now does dusk look closely to twilight, and spark doesn’t even look as good as incinerator.
There is still hope. Anet could pull a uber clutch, give us armor that doesn’t look like the generic “Light armor = frilly dresses, Medi armor = trench coats, Heavy armor = plated mini skirts”.
We may even get armor with super cool textures, and animated pieces. Armor which reacts to the environment, day and night cycles, combat and out of combat. Armor which changes skill animations or skill color schemes.
(Just idea’s always prepare for disappointment so when you do receive a bit above the minimal, its still more satisfying than nothing)
Indefinitely suspended/ cancelled or maybe spread out over many years and several expansions and you will see it long after you lost interest in it.

Looks like collection 2 is inaccessible currently. Probably another 6 months until it is ready.
I was waiting for the legendary armor to get in the game finally. Now we can see the precursor. Let me just say I am not impressed at all.
Maybe only the heavy armor looks something I would put on my heavy armor class characters, but the medium and especially the light female armor… please.
Bra on charr and asura? Seriously? I am most likely going to do the first collection. But there is no way I am going to invest the time and gold and dedication into making the legendary armor set if it will look similar to this “precursor”. It looks like a joke, a really bad joke. Not too much work was put into it, as it looks like human kitten-armor pulled on a charr and an asura. This is really sad. Are the people responsible for this at ANet trying to tell us, that our charrs and asuras not worth enough that you would make a reasonably good looking or at least acceptable legendary armor for them? No Legendary Armor for charrs and asura?!
Has there been an armor set released that the majority of players liked? I’m pretty sure that no matter how they design legendary armor, someone will dislike it.
Well the recipes are starting to be found. Price is a little shocking, but they are all things you can work towards, and it is inline with the price of ascended weapon compared to ascended armor.
First gift is looking to cost 3000g (at current prices, expect it to rise). Second gift is mostly cost free but requires items you will need to work for. Third gift is looking like a pretty tedious grind, but it remains to be seen as the final component hasn’t been found yet. No idea what the price of the pre will be, but I expect not cheap.
