So according to the GW2 wiki it says that before i can join a dungeon in a group with other players i have to beat the dungeon first by myself in story mode.

Acceptable…

However i cant seem to do that because the gunners in crucible of eternity snipe me down pretty quick.

Should i just reroll another class to 80 and then try again?

Uhm you dont have to beat it solo its 5 man coneten put up a lfg for story.
Even so you can do explore path if you join a party and let others open.

Story mode is meant for groups

And you just have to be in a party with someone who has done Story mode of the dungeon you want to do the Explorable versions of.

Just make sure to not join groups that say “exp” or “speed run” or give any indication that they are for experienced players. If you’re not sure, then ask if they would have a problem with your experience level and with your gear and build set up. And no matter what group you join say you’re new. And if you want to watch the cutscenes in game and not on YouTube, make sure you say you want to watch them.

Most players just don’t like getting to the third or fourth fight before the new or inexperienced person speaks up.

No no, you misunderstand. You can run dungeons whenever you want regardless if you’ve done story mode. You just can’t host your own Explorable mode until you’ve completed Story mode (in a group, not solo, soloing dungeons in this game is extremely difficult if you don’t know the cheese tricks, and even then they are very time consuming for the most part)
