Solo Dungeons needed

That should not be a reason for soloable dungeons (although there are a lot of valid reasons for solo dungeons). You can make other friends in the schoolyard who aren’t elitist. Look for a casual dungeon guild or start adding casual dungeon runners that you meet. I’ve met a few people and we just run our most comfortable damage/party builds. We all have our dungeon master titles now and are able to teach our other friends how to do runs.
It’s an MMO, so it’s expected to be a social game at its core. The “eltists” aren’t the only ones who can form and pick their social groups.
Since when is there some huge wave of elitism outside of CoF1 farming runs? Almost nobody is going to ask you to ping your gear, full ascended warriors/guardians only for some HotW1 run or whatever. Worst case you fill out a party full of thieves with your thief and get kicked because they want somebody more durable for their extremely squishy party. It’s not exactly common.
If you’re getting kicked partyway through all of your dungeons because you are really just incredibly bad and are causing the group to wipe repeatedly, what makes you think you’d succeed in a solo dungeon without anybody to carry you?
the problem with casual gamers and trying to solo these dungeons is a more casual gamer doesn’t learn/master all the mechanics needed to solo the gw2 dungeons, whereas someone who really wants to undertake such a goal will do his/her research for hours, and then start putting in more hours of actual testing their own theories to see if they will work. i’m not saying the gw2 dungeons CAN’T be solo’d, but i would very much recommend against a casual player from trying to solo them if only to save them a rather large migraine.
I wish there was a mode to solo bosses and the first time you solo a boss you get some kins of shiny loot that is account bound and prestigeous.
well almost every dungeon path has already been solo’d. But I do see your point, I would love a option to do them solo instead of in a group, not because of elitism when joining a group but because I hate getting stuck with people who don’t know the dungeon, so people from both sides would like the solo option.
It would be pretty easy for them to do it too, they would just need to reduce the hp of everything in the dungeon to 20% and that’s it. They already did this with the frog boss in SAB so they obviously have the ability to do it.
I’ve solo’d a few different dungeon/fractal paths and the only problem I’ve ever run into is the fact that it gets so boring and repetitive due to the insane amount of hp you have to go threw while doing them solo. The damage isn’t a problem because of the way the game was built around dodge.
So really just have full hp for 5 people, 80% for 4, 60% for 3 and so on. Problem solved.
