Hey guys,

This is aimed at the guys from SOLO and rT near enough. I was wondering what’s the ‘easiest’ class to solo lupi on? And which path? I assume p2 is….but not Entirely sure?

Any help would be awesome!!

easiest to solo is definitely a gs warrior because you have ww atk for that extra dodge + mobility.

It depends how you define “easiest.”

Warrior is easiest. Highest self buffed damage. Lowest danger to die.

Guard is easier than war. You have perm vigor, a block, and a reflect. War and Mes can solo faster, but doesnt mean easier. Remember to use an energy sigil or two, will make things easier.

Use P2 to get to lupi

My vote goes for guardian also, the amount of different kind of tools they have for this fight is just so high.

Also while while mesmer might have potential for faster kill than a guardian it is also far more rng based. I believe guardian would be the faster option out of those two on average.

I thought that would be quaggan.

I solo’d Lupicus as a Quaggan. It was pretty easy, actually.

Non legit solo, you used an ember.

Maybe it’s just me but I hate phase 1 as a guard because I can’t deal with locusts as quickly as I can on warrior.

Depends on your build with the guard. If you only have 5 pts in honour ur gonna have 10k hp. One slip up and your dead. If you have 25 pts in honour uve got a bit more room for error.

Which is why i feel safer with warrior over my mesmer/guard. Warrior can take a tick or two of damage if i screw up but mesmer and guard pretty much just instant down. Obviously not gonna be an issue with more practise but for learning i think warrior is the best to solo on.

You need GS for phase 1 on Guardian. It has a superior cleave.

Of course, but I still think warrior has an easier time on phase 1.

Imo warrior is much easier than guardian, but if you have more experience as a guardian you will probably have an easier time killing lupicus on a guardian. Just don’t do necro.. Also warrior is nice because you can survive a kick even with a full dps setup.

Aegis gets stripped by the single AoE’s which don’t hit you, during phase 2/3. I wouldn’t say it sucks, but I also wouldn’t NOT take it, on the assumption I’m running 25 in virtues.

Then again, I just wouldn’t solo Lupicus on my guard. #Warriorlife

Unscathed Contender works fine in Phase 1.
Though, it would require you to go at least 20 into Virtues which after doing some calculations doesn’t seem to be a good idea.

Mesmer gets kittened by locusts in P1 so it’s not very easy at all. Try to cleave them, they just murder your kitten .

I think the real question is, how to melee Lupi when pugs insist on kiting him outside of max range so he just keeps moving away and bubbling every other attack. Mesmer doesn’t have enough stability CDs to escape bubble that often. I don’t think anyone does.

Can’t spreadsheet stupidity. At least not in quantities that high.

Mesmer has Mantra of Concentration with two short Stabilities with fairly short cooldown. Then also Blurred Frenzy on Sword with really short cooldown and if you still have problems take also a Staff and use Phase Retreat.
And you still have skills like Blink and Distortion.

I usually don’t even have problems with bubbles when pugging as warrior and i don’t even use one stability skill. You can still move so that he has no reason to bubble you.

The real kitten is when people standing next to you are moving or standing in wrong range, getting bubbled, escaping with stability but leaving you behind with no energy sigil. Also, that happens quite often.

I take Rampage, Balanced Stance, Dolyak Signet, and I use Sword / Shield with full Sentinel’s gear. I never have problems with the bubbles.

I use a Wraith tonic and stand at the outside of the room, and hope my team thinks I’m an enemy trash mob and ignores me. I never have problems with the bubbles.

That’s why I wasn’t able to kill those OP trashmobs… I should turn on friendly fire next time

Think I am missing something here, so the circle does not go into the rectangular looking hole and the triangle does not fit into the circular shaped hole? What is this mockery!

Also, kitten it.

I find it easier if you try to stand towards the edge of his red target ring as much as possible while still forcing him to move, and when he moves such that you are outside of the ring, quickly move just inside it again and repeat until he does his next attack (take care if it is kick). If you stand towards the center (directly under Lupicus) I find he tends to move in wild directions and stops moving to perform his next attack sooner.

When you are inside lupicus and he’s at a wall, he will kind of follow you. It isn’t very easy to control, especially one you’re out of his red circle, but pretty effective for eles, warriors, mesmers and guardians.

Or do you aim on my first comment about those “impressive 11k 100b’s”? That wasn’t meant to be insulting at all. It’s not like he could do much to increase his damage output by x2.
