Guild Wars 2

Hey Folks,

So I was hoping you could offer me a pointer or two. Suddenly decided last night to see if I could solo anything and picking an easy dungeon that I knew I hit upon AC story. So grabbing my trusty Ranger off I strolled to AC.
Went about as well as expected for my first time. Made some silly mistakes, went down a few times but it went ok. Until I got to The Lovers. That’s when it went downhill a bit.

So can anyone give me a pointer on how to solo these two. I figured it’s probably best to take out Vassar first so tried that a few times and it went ok until I died. Any particular place that’s slightly better to knock him to? I’m thinking the corner of the stairs may be best as I can then cleave his annoying mages with him. Also any particular weapons I should be using? I was using Sword/Dagger and Axe/Warhorn but I’m thinking off hand axe may be quite useful against these two.

I’m not that knowledgable about soloing, and only moderately knowledgable about rangers, but I bet greatsword over axe/horn would be better in terms of damage/defense thanks to its blocks and evades, unless you really wanted axe to kite.

You can seperate the two by luring one of them into the corridor with the pressure plate doors (the one that connects Kasha with Ralena and Vassar) and then close the doors. That may help you.

Cheers guys. Looking back I probably should have realised the above points but as I said I made some silly mistakes. I ’ll just add those to the list >.<

After you defeat Kasha, you can place a rock on the pressure plate and pick it up while not standing on the pressure plate, the doors will stay open till you step on a plate. You can then pull one of htem into the hallway and close the doors so you only have to fight one at a time. Or do like I do sometimes and just rush them over and over cuz they don’t start regenerating fast enough, but I’m on a warrior

Thanks for all the help. Went back in this evening and did it. Path of Scars was brilliant to get them into the corridor and then Greatsword saved my kitten.
