This was a dungeon I had never stepped foot in. Whenever I suggested it to friends or the guild I’d get a bunch of “ahh that place sucks, I vowed to never step in there again!” or similar.

Last night I finally pushed enough people to go. What a nightmare! Are you really trying to make people hate the place? The name is fitting except I was unable to embrace it….just lots and lots of sorrow.

It is very long….took us 3 hours. None of us really knew the encounters so I’m sure a second run would be shorter.

TONS of trash mobs. It’s just boring killing the same mobs over and over. It felt like more trash than other dungeons. Maybe Arah has as many but I don’t care for all the trash in Arah either.

And last but not least……ONE way point?!!!?! Learning this place wasn’t fun. We made a lot of mistakes in learning it and it just sucked running back all that way. Especially the last boss. I hated it actually…..may even vow to never step foot in there again :P

Sorrow’s Embrace… hard? Long? Whaaa?

Maybe I just got crazy lucky, but when my team of five first-timers went in for all three paths just a few days ago, each path was about 30-45mins long and easier than AC. It sounds like your group had some coordination issues, stood in the fire, etc. I honestly can’t find anything else that would make SE remotely challenging.

Edit: Unless you’re talking about story mode, in which case… -even more helpless shrug-

No explor path 2. I can’t find anyone willing to do story mode.

Exp path 2 is very long. hard however, not a good description. once you’ve done it once it’s nothing.

Fair enough. Only one of us had done story….none explor. We randomly selected path 2.

Really the complaint is the 1 WP, that last boss was stupid. Learning it takes time and trial and error since we don’t really check guides are anything like that. You expect to wipe a few times learning the mechanics, but running back all that way was really pissing me off!

They waypoint system in dungeons is 100% out of whack. Certain fight, paths, and traps had random WP’s while others don’t.

For example:

TA F/Up isn’t WP friendly near the bee’s. Long time to run back and if it is your first run (or are bad at traps) you will die, unless someone disarms it for you.

CoE Laser trap – Waypoint RIGHT by the trap. That is HOW it should be for ALL instant death traps.

Each dungeon path should only have 1 waypoint to make them tougher. So I say remove some waypoints from other dungeons/paths.

Long waypoint do not make dungeons tougher, just more irritating. Sure more = more people zerging. but if your good you won’t need to zerg anyway.

Lets say some LD’s/crashes when the party just hit the end of path 1 of arah. Which DOES happen. You saying they should run ALL the way back due to the game/connection problem?

Yes, its not much of a problem unless you skipped mob groups. There shouldnt be extra waypoints just because it might happen. If it happens tough luck or dont play when 24hour disconnect is close.
