Sorrow's Embrace, Path 1, Grenadier annoyance
Strategy is, after you get inside, hide around the place (either in some rocks near the fence where they come [jumping over the fence], or some other rocks around the platform) and grenadiers will go through the door without having to kill them.
After you have avoided 1st group of grenadiers, kill the first barrier and go near the golem boss but don’t engage, after asura’s conversation wait around 30 sec and you will see the second group of grenadiers coming from far away, run back and hide again until they go away.
After that it’s just piece of cake, no more grenadiers come. Hope you have fun in there!
This was changed in the latest patch, they now spawn indefinitely.
I tried to do this dungeon today. We actually DID beat the first boss (even with the Grenadiers), though with a lot of dying. The second boss, however, was not even remotely doable. It was pretty much an instant wipe. I don’t know if the mechanics of this dungeon intend for the players to be swarmed with adds while the boss is up, but it really isn’t manageable. The Grenadiers throw too fast/too frequently as it is, making them incredibly challenging with a group of four. Add on top of that a boss…and GG.
I have no idea how to do this now. Is it intended or is it a bug? How are yuo supposed to kill 2nd boss while grenadiers, that hit like a truck, spawn over and over again?
Actually, it is possible to do, there’s a number of patrols, did the instance 3 times today. I don’t know if that number start after you kll the engineers or the golem, but patrols stops after about 10 minutes. I think it’s a quick solution to prevent speed running it. They didn’t want people to chain farm SE after CoF.
I don’t mind the dungeon being harder, but that is annoying as all kind of heck it’s true, maybe do something with the Golems in the minefield ? Idk.
I suggest doing path 3 instead for the time, or like I said wait for the patrols to stop.
