For the 2nd golem, we actually found it much more effective to melee him. We had 3 people meleeing him and 2 ranging him. Melee was good because his spin-o-rama move has a big tell before it starts, and the damage isn’t all up front. It’s spread out over the whole attack. That way, even if you don’t dodge out BEFORE he attacks, you can dodge out DURING the attack and come away with only a little health lost and a burning condition. As a guardian I have a condition removal with 20 second cooldown so that wasn’t a problem. Didn’t know about the boon-removal trick on the first golem. Good to know!
Melee on the flame golem is actually quite effective. I was “tanking” the golem but it seems the ranged members of my group kept going down while I was able to dodge roll pretty much everything he sent at me. Maybe I was just better at noticing the tells
Interesting. I’m glad to hear that melee isn’t necessarily SOL for this fight. Was he not sending the AOE projectiles into melee for you guys (they leave a fire ‘well’ on the ground)?

I found I could walk around behind him pretty easily when there were wells on the ground and just smite the condition if I didn’t move fast enough. Melee was really quite effective
I did this dungeon Sunday. We started it around 7:20 and got to the fire golem, who proceeded to kick our collect butts. So much so 3 of our 5 member left after we discovered a bug that made matters worst. It seems every now and then you could hurt Kudu. So after a bit we had the fire Golem and the Poison Golem up at the same time.
What we had left in our group was me an Engineer and a Guardian. However there is another bug in this dungeon with the terrain in this room. I re-kitted myself with grenades, because they have the farthest range, and I was able to stand and throw over an obstacle and hit the fire golem with splash damage, Sure it took 23 mins to kill him but I did. Then we went to focus on second golem. He was harder to hit but he too went down to a hail of grenades.
The other bosses where easy just run around kitting until dead. The final boss was a breeze compared to that fire golem.
So just the 2 of us less took on the rest of the dungeons from the point of the fire golem. 5 stared at 7:20 am, 2 finished at 12:58 it was a long morning.
Side note: does anyone know where I can send my screen shot to show them the spot I use to solo the 2 golems?

Is having a perma poison on the fire golem enough to ignore his ‘consume condition to heal’ crap? I really don’t want to have a separate, kitteny ‘power’ build JUST for this dungeon.
Also if he’s simply kited around the railing/platform area, can you just dot him up and kite/LoS his projectiles?
Last thing:
Has anyone had the event prior to his room bug (door opens, but dredge keep spawning over and over, zojja just stands there and gets wtfpwnt by them every wave).
Spent 20mins trying to get this to reset/finish, but even if we get away from the mobs, Kudu wouldn’t trigger. Had to disband and leave instance ;(
