Since launch I’ve never been entirely interested in dungeons (especially with PUGs), but upon learning I would need tokens from SE to craft the Juggernaut (for a Guardian) that has changed. Besides general tips on dungeons…

How long does each path take to complete with a decent group?

Do I have better luck finding a group near the entrance or in LA? I always see “lfg AC exp” in LA because of Twilight/Sunrise but I almost never see any for SE in LA.

Are tokens soulbound or account bound? I read they were soulbound but soon to be account bound months ago so which one are they?

If they are account bound, what’s the most favorable class to run dungeons with? I currently have 3 lvl 80s (guardian, thief, and necromancer). I can’t imagine thief being too ideal. My necro is great at AOE and conditions (1500+ cond. damage). The guardian seems like a good idea with all the boons and healing/regen, however he is not traited/geared for that as a primary role and I’d rather avoid having to get a ton of mats/money (which primarily goes to the legendary) for clerics.

Any advice is appreciated.

path 1 – 20 minutes or infinity minutes. You will either clear it very quickly, or you will never clear it.

path 2 – hour – 2 hours. Long, boring, and probably the best example of terrible trash monsters

path 3 – 30minute – hour. Shortish, pretty entertaining, and probably the best designed of the 3 paths.

Probably LA, or the LFG website.

Account bound last I checked. Which was during this post, so ;p

Guardian for SE. Reflection is really really strong.

Try posting an ad there as well.
It is also easier to get people in LA than outside the dungeon. You tend to get better quality players this way also.

-Tokens are account bound, so feel free to do on another character.
-Guardian is an excellent class for all dungeons.
-You don’t need a cleric’s set for guardian. I run toughness/vita/power set with soldier’s runes and all shouts build.

-This Armor set is very easy to obtain, just do a bunch of AC runs. Pop your soldiers runes over the top. If you cant afford soldiers.. the monk’s runes that the gear comes with will also suffice.

- Something extra:

Precision accessories + empowering might trait. Run a Greatsword. Pull mobs together, Aoe for many crits. Use crits to buff team with stacks of might. Switch sceptre/focus pop your shield that has 3 blocks if your in the kitten, and back out. Your sceptre is then important for ranged DPS and immobilizing stray targets for your next pull.

Stupid internet connection. Deleted my reply.

Tokens are account bound.

Guardians are probably overall the best and easiest class to dungeon run with. They’re versatile, excellent boons and control, aegis, and can deal decent damage all the while. In general, Guardian can breeze through most PvE content. I’d say to just use whatever you’re most comfortable with, though.

Keep in mind that all Dredge are immune to blinds though, so if you’re a Thief that requires Blinding Powder to live in melee or a Necro that relies on the blinding well, you’re gonna have to switch tactics. If you’re planning to take a peek at path 1, make sure you bring some good, raw damage, as there’s something of a DPS race at the start.

SE path 3 is the most commonly run one by far. And saying “commonly run” is a bit misleading, because SE is probably the most unpopular dungeon of all (at least on my server – I usually see maybe 1-2 LFGs all day while I’m in LA, if even that many). Path 1 and 2 were buffed a while back and not many went back to them. As for run time, path 3 can take you anywhere from 10-15 minutes with a (very) good group to forever depending on how badly your pug sucks.

As for actually forming a group, ask in LA. Make sure you also use the LFG site in the sticky up above, too.

Even though a skilled player can make nearly anything work, what weapons would you recommend for a guardian?
