So how do you beat this path? Me and my guildes couldn’t even get past the first part – We got overran by a million billion elites with an army of bone pets. And we had been doing fine up until that point.

-Jump on the rock just before the first barrier
-Let the first wave pass
-Destroy the first barrier, quickly run to the golem to activate it and then run back to the rock to let the second wave pass
-Rush to the golem, focus entirely on it and hope that you can kill it before too many waves come.

If you aren’t a melee, don’t get too close to the golem because it will KD you. But it might pull you.
If you are capable on slowing and protecting your teammates from inquests, don’t hesitate too much (Anti projectiles, the mass daze from the ele, blind from the thief off hand gun, etc).

If you die during the golem fight, try to come back to prevent a reset.
Once the golem is dead, go back to killing the barriers without bothering with the enemies. Sometime you might have too many enemies on you, so they will probably kill you. If that’s the case, use the first WP, wait 30 seconds and go back.

The golem is a dps check. No have the DPS then no kill golem.

Start on the ledge to the right of the first barrier.
Wait for 1st pack to run past.
Blast down barrier then back onto ledge.
Wait for 2nd pack to past.
One person runs up to start the golem event (there is some talking before you can engage the golem) then runs back to ledge.
Wait for 3rd pack to run past.
Rush the golem and hit it with everything you have, if your DPS is good then you should have him down before two more packs spawn.
Once golem is dead run back to ledge to get out of combat then wait for the mobs that spawns during the golem to run past.
Wait for next pack to spawn then rush the barriers, ignore the mobs that continue spawning and plow the barriers until you get to Nokk. Run down the steps to stop the adds then it gets easy.

If your DPS is good then the golem should be at ~50% health by the time first (or second idk we just melt them with splash from killing the golem) the pack of mobs gets there. All I know is that if your DPS is bad then you will be overrun by adds. Just keep it up and burn it down. Once the golem DPS check is passed the dungeon is easy.

I’ve done P1 with 3 guardians and 2 elemenatlists in 16 minutes with no wipes so don’t let people tell you that you need 100b spam or certain classes to do it. All you need is high DPS for the golem. Don’t miss your big CDs, blast it with all your skills, etc.

You know, this game don’t even have dps in the traditional sense. But I get ya.

Yes it does. If you can’t do enough damage in X amount of time and kill the golem you will be overrun. If a player sacrifices DPS for gimmicks or stacks 1400 healing or uses all clerics/knights or something like that then their their DPS is going to be terrible and the support/defense benefits they get in return won’t be enough to counter the extra waves of inquest.

Most people fail path 1 because they are some combo of not geared, are using a gimmick spec or a bunker build or something else that neuters their DPS. It isn’t like CoF where you can spec/gear anything you want to faceroll to victory.

They stack the poorest scaling stats in the game and assume their build is solid when in reality it has poor DPS, they get overrun by the waves and then they complain about how SE 1 is impossible.

Most people I know use soldier’s gear (p/v/t) making them much less efficient than let’s say people in zerker’s or knight’s.

Did it once with a mesmer, a necro, a level 67 thief, an ele and a guardian (who is in full Knight). If you can’t do too much damage, at least try to hinder incoming waves.

Players fail this path because they do not really think more than “I need to kill this golem the fastest way”, thus sacrificing their life, for a few more damage but in the end getting killed by the golem itself.

Of course if you are in a team of 5 warriors in full Berseker, you’ll probably have an easy time to kill this golem. But if you aren’t, the fight will last a little longer and you are going to have to survive one, two or more waves.

if you can’t kill the golem in less than three waves from the point of engaging it then you’re doing it wrong.

I did this dungeon yesterday with my guild team: ele, 2 rangers, thief (shadow refuge FTW!) and guardian. I’m so proud we’ve done it cause I was considering this the most difficult dungeon path ever… We were discouraged after two failed attempts 1-2 months ago.
I was surprised how short this path is… After learning how to do it I think it’s the best path to farm tokens.
Other players have already given you the correct suggestions to try this path… Go DPS on the golem and… just a reminder for rangers: use piercing arrows trait or you won’t be able to hit it!
