Not sure if I am the only one who isn’t playing berserker warrior, but it’s harder and harder to find group that doesn’t require change of my guardian to warrior or mesmer. Even in my own group, I was asked to change my class. Yes, I know that everyone can choose to run dungeon with whoever he wants and require x y z gear and blablabla, but isn’t it enough already?

I mean, it’s not like you must be kittened if you are not playing warrior or being extremely bad damage dealer. But as soon as you join party and some fat child on the other side is asking you to change class or leave, something is wrong. This is well known problem in many F2P mmos where one dps class is overpowered and everything else is useless, but wasn’t GW2 meant to be a different game? It has been quite long since these so called speed runs with 4 war + mesmer started, and nothing has been done yet. If you wanted to make game that doesn’t have trinity, you shouldn’t have made one class better in DPS than others.

All classes have comparable dps, if you have the right build and play said build right. Pugs and your own group are a bit outdated in that department.
But if you plan to bring a tanky ranger or a Cleric guardian, don’t expect mercy from anyone. Because you are only slowing the whole group down.

Why everyone that pops in here complaining about speed runs, trains and whatnot always seems to think that only warrior can do damage? Jesus christ people, the information is everywhere, just go and get it before typing crap all over.

Well, that seems odd. Which dungeons does this happen in? What class are you playing? I join random groups for TA, CoE, CoF and SE via gw2lfg pretty much daily on my Ranger and no one complains.

I’ll admit to being more than a little apprehensive if I see more than one Necro/Ele in a group though. Those classes have the highest failure rate in PUGS, imho.

You didn’t really get my point. It doesn’t matter to them if you have berserker gear or not, unless you are not warrior, they don’t want you. I am also playing my guardian with high crit and dps setup, do you think anyone cares? Nah, change to warrior or gtfo. And whoever says guardian or any other class that is geared offensively with skilled person behind the keyboard will be slowing down whole party, must be stupid. Dungeons are quite short anyway, so we are talking about seconds or few minutes max. Thats all you lose.

But I am not so naive to think that speed runners will ever change their mind, unless class balance happens. Otherwise this problem will last forever.

pugs =/= speed runners

if they don’t accept your dps guardian perhaps you should be thankful not to be running with such a bunch of clueless scrubs

If you’re a good DPS guardian I wouldn’t be surprised if you’re actually matching if not surpassing the supposed ‘high’ damage that these PuG warriors are doing. I’ve seen what passes for ‘high’ damage in PuGs and Greatsword auto attacking most certainly isn’t/it.

But wait, speed runners did change their mind and now use basically every class besides necro.

If your groups only take warriors and mesmers because they think they’re the best, then they need a reality check.

Zerkwar clearly the only way to go. Maybe with an anchor guardian or utility mesmer solely for the Time Warp.

And yet if you had just provided video evidence the meta would have been solved much sooner.

Not my fault you can’t see the obvious. All I did was add up a few numbers and what I got back was pretty self-explanatory. Nothing anyone else couldn’t have done with five minutes and a basic calculator.

But the proof is in the tasting of the pudding and you refuse to actually make any, you just point to the recipe and go “GOD WHY CAN’T YOU IDIOTS SEE HOW AWESOME THIS PUDDING WILL BE?”

Currently in berserker gear etc usually run d/d because i like it but out decent damage and great support, but literally got kicked out of groups for not being a Warrior. I could happily record this happening at least 5x a day when i get on in the next few days lol. they must do a truck load damage more ?

pugs are just stupid for thinking warriors are the best, that is all

generally think warriors should take a hit so people wouldnt think like idiots and i can get some cool gear on my ele , doing arah is already a pain in the butt !

I don’t think they are smart enough to read patch notes.

please do record it because I don’t actually believe it, unless you’re joining groups that are advertising “need more warriors”

Clearly his ele is trying to join Arah speed clear record attempts where they need to stack 4 warriors. Under those circumstances it makes total sense.

I like to open dungeons to prevent PUG leader rage quit if the slightest thing goes wrong. If there is two people in the party of any class but mesmer/guardian and the warrior is the third, I can’t even tell you how many times a warrior will drop party. I don’t know what it is with the mentality of people that (generally speaking) play warrior. They’re all scared to play without a guardian in their group. “Need one more heavy” is the common refrain. Heavy? That’s not really “need” that’s “want for OP blocks and stability spam”. But, it is true that guardian trivializes content so what can you do?
