“I’m rough and I’m tough and I’m king of the Maguuma Jungle”
Wiki says these only come in chests which are daily and salvaging ascended. Did anyone to figure out an effective way to farm the matrixes?
if you have a fractal reliquiar you can buy a random ring for 25 relics almost every day, sometimes it is even infused which give twice the amount of matrices when salvaged
Not sure what you need them for, but if you need them for personal use in crafting, it might be a good idea to wait until they update the fractal rewards in december.
Then they will also change the amount encryption keys you get per matrix from 2 to 1.
That should take some demand off them and price should fall.
The demand mostly comes from the recipe where you need 75 matrices and not for keys.

You need a total of 8 of them for the backpack precursor, so 600 Matrices. The new legendaries also need 75 matrices. So I dont see the price of matrices going unless Anet buffs the chance for rings.
Salvaging an ascended rings gives 2-10 matrices, an infused one 4-20. So that is quite a lot of salvaged rings per legendary or the backpack even. I bet the upcoming pvp legendary backpack also will need these matrices.
Forging a gold fractal weapon also needs 50 matrices.
The post was not for the concern of the key drops. You need 375 stabalizing matrix for the 3rd tier of the back piece and a stack right now is 100g. We don’t even know how many will need for the 4th tier. The only way they drop is in the chests or by salvaging rings. I am out of rings to salvage and don’t have a reliquary. Is there any way to farm ascended rings?
No you cannot farm rings other than doing your fractal dailies, fractal reliquiary, luck in pvp and wvw chests.
