Hello. I have been playing for about a month. I am having a lot of fun as a Guardian. I recently started to do dungeons, specifically, farming Twilight Arbour because I wanted weapons from there.

When I first did it with a group, it felt like so long, so many hours, and so much death and awfulness that I wasn’t sure how anyone did it. Now, I have done it so many times, I know what to do for everything and how each of the bosses works.

I have completed what I wanted for TA, now, I want to do Arah, because it is the dungeon that interests me the most and I don’t care for the others. I am wondering if this is something I can do, because I was under the impression that I could “skip” all the other dungeons and go straight to Arah.

I have been doing some research on Arah and it seems like many people say it is hard. I am wondering if it’s like my TA labours where it felt awful at first but after doing it many times, it becomes second nature. But, I am also wondering if this is a dungeon that sticks to the old-age cultured MMO notion of tiered dungeons and “you can’t do this unless you have BLAH BLAH exotic gear and BLAH BLAH weapons.” I do not have exotic armour and I don’t even know how to use the Mystic Forge. If I am to gear up, then it means I have to go to the other dungeons first, doesn’t it?

Please provide any tips or information. Thank you.

Rare gear should be enough for anything.

Strange you don’t have exotics yet. Well, keep on stacking tokens.
First: you’re right, Arah is harder than TA
Second: as Ta, if you do it many times it gets easier. Perfectly doable.
A suggestion: watch a video first. Maybe it’s just me, but I hate being blind in a war zone. You don’t ahve to feel forced to, but still…
Now a few tips… the forgotten path is reasonably easy, seer path is a nightmare and as far as I know the others are plagued by a few bugs. Not 100% sure but if I remember well they may prevent you from completing the dungeon. Don’t quote me on that.
Be cautious with aggros, as trash mobs are powerful and hit very hard.
I usually focus risen illusionists and mages first (or hunters)
Bring wall of reflection, feedback, or any other skill that reflects projectiles.
You may want to consider doing it first with people you know and aren’t kitten
Bring stability when facing lupicus phase 3. Make sure you understood his 3 phases, make sure not to spawn clones close to him when facing him on phase 1.
Concentrate, be willing to spend 40min-1 hour or more in your first attempt.
Rares are perfectly fine. Arah is doable and can be enjoyable.

Thank you. That was a very informative post. Yes, I will definitely watch videos first. I will attempt to steer clear of the paths other than forgotten, I don’t really want to jeopardize the run and waste our time…

The Forgotten Path is the “easiest”.

-Try to fight the first 2 bosses around where they are, pushing them towards the corner to avoid fighting the silver patrol around them.
One of them is an archer that hits kind of hard. He keeps moving away from his target, so try to position yourself so that he moves towards the corner and not towards the patrol.
The other has a hammer. His attack is deadly but incredibly easy to dodge because he takes a few seconds to charge it.

-Then you can skip the mobs or fight them. Since its your first time, I say fight them so you don’t get lost and you can observe patrols patterns.

-At one point you are going to spawn a spider champion. She’s kind of like the spider in TA up path. You can try to skip, but we never manage to break aggro.

-The second boss is really easy. His marks are easy to dodge. First WP.

-The next thing can be incredibly annoying. You have to pick up a corrosive light and bring it to another place. The catch is that you lose a chunk of health every second. So you have to play volleyball with your teammates.
A tactic we do is that while someone has the light, the others hug him so that when he throws the light, they can easily catch it.

-Giganticus…well I guess there are hundreds of guides about that encounter. Second WP.

-After that you have a few mobs and another spider champion, which can be skipped. A third WP will spawn when you get to the risen chicken (not too far from the spider champion).

-Then you have to reach the altar. The giants are easy to dodge. The first part of the fight involves attuning 3 circles around 3 pillars. It’s really easy.

-The last boss is easy. If you get too many stacks of corruptions you can run in the light to get rid of them.

The Mursaat path is the second easiest. The bosses are a little harder than those on path one.

Stability, reflects, blocks and skills that pull are useful in this dungeon. Stealth is useful when you want to skip mobs.
