Noticed this too. Very disappointed by this.

Also no fix for DCing yet. Getting pretty tired of dealing with this. Just crashed at the end of the colossus fractal.

Luckily I record guides for all dungeons including fractals and it just so happens I have a perfect example.

At 2:02 I explain briefly the bug that seems to happen 75% of the time. At 2:39 you can see the bug first-hand. One of the Veteran’s always teleports 1-2s after spawning and instantly knocks off a captive preventing you from getting the bonus chest.

Issue The “Teleporting Grawl” bug occurs during the first boss encounter of this Fractal (The Champion Grawl Shaman). The captive on the far right (facing the Champion) can be pushed into the lava by a Veteran Grawl that teleports to it.

It might be related to being staggerd into the wall, or being crowd controlled in general.

Are you guys 12 years old or were you just not raised to treat others with respect? You both definitely could have phrased that better. Understand that the people doing these jobs are human beings just like yourself and that in a real workplace environment solving problems isn’t as simple as receiving it on your desk and churning out a solution 2 minutes later.

It isn’t my concern if a bug is “hard” to fix or not. Nor should it be ANY players concern. That is why they hire professions for. Our is to see it fixed and that is it. The coders have to deal with difficulty fixing whatever problems occur.

Found a new cleverly placed pillar in the char fractal. When you turn left and go up the ramp(after the door of course) you can’t skip over one pack of ascalonians anymore.

They’re reacting to an obviously misordered priorities. Fixing that was more important than fixing the dredge backdoor.

The issue with the shaman has been present since fractals released; dredge backdoor only became common knowledge recently.

Apparently they spent 2m on one bug fix; they picked the wrong bug to fix. Hence the outrage.

I think it’s sad that things that make the fractals go faster are fixed (dredge backdoor/seal) and the bugs that prevent a player from continuing (DC, stuck in other maps) are left as last priority.

I dislike these “Ninja” fixes to the game, not because they are being fixed but because Anet is hiding and playing sneaky sneaky with patch notes. Being dishonest and or hiding things from the player base is not good and will simply breed distrust down the line, even for something as tiny as these.

So basically, Funny, you just couldn’t be bothered to fix the teleporting grawl bug, huh?

How about this, a new priority list for bugs to fix:

- Bug prevents players from actually playing.
- Bug breaks major aspect of game (FotM DC…)
- Bug makes the game less fun to play.
- Bug allows players a non-gamebreaking advantage the developers didn’t intend.

The last one, of course, is dabatable. If the game is playable, fun and not even long-term aspects (economy) are affected too much, it could well be argued that the last category of “bug” can be renamed to game-feature and any effort to fix it (that should not even be started unless the first three categories are completely resolved) should rather be used for additional fun content.

A priority-list like this would ultimately focus on, you know, the game being fun once more.

Now, since this post could be read not only as a sarcastic remark but also as a suggestion, I fully expect it to be quickly deleted or moved to the suggestions-forum under an uninteresting title so that it quickly disappears. This way, at least one mod will have to read it, though.

Those exploits are giving some players an unfair advantage over those refusing to cheat, they get kicked from groups etc for not cheating thus preventing those players from enjoying the same content. for me this is just as important as those getting DC as the non cheaters cannot play the dungeon either...

Agreed. Your priorities leaves me confused. Exploits, while bad, at least gives choice of gamers not to use it (to a certain degree). Bugs on the other hand are a straight up negative experience. Not mention some of the bugs are introduced through exploit fixes…

^just like gw1. nerf, over nerf and s*** on. Btw, where is the logic in fractals since we’re at it? the farther you go the better drops/chest should be, right? RIGHT? No… you do a level 30 and get greens from chests and blues from enemies, yay zorz. If chest drops are nerfed i will do exactly one run per day and that is lev20 daily. Farmed enough kitten*** greens/blue trash in other dungeons since game launched ty.

Obviously the DC issue is a much larger and frustrating concern – but I image it’s also a complex one to resolve. No, it didn’t make it into this patch, but I would rather they take their time and ensure it is truly fixed than rush something that may cause other unintended issues afterwards.

I too felt the rare drops from chests seemed lower after the patch. Would like to have seen the shaman bug fixed too but happy to find out its possibly due to CC so i’ll give that a try.

Other then that, thanks for the fixes. The dredge one i just found out about yesterday running with a guildie. The 3 pugs were not happy to see it fixed and my guildie and I were just dumbfounded at the length people go to skip content, that whole event takes about 3 minutes in a coordinated group.

The “old ascalon” pillar is even funnier since you skip one maybe 2 packs by doing it and the packs take 30 seconds to kill and have a chance to drop essence.

The problem is their priority. When your primary concern is to nerf the everliving kitten out of everything that could potentially “disturb the economy” (Read: Diminish our gem profits by a single cent) instead of making a good game without gamebreaking bugs, something’s kittened up.

Yeah they “fixed” the colossal fractal and I guess they decided to punish us for using the bug. It is now 1000x harder then any other fractal in the game. 5 vets that hit for 10k dmg spawn every 20 seconds. The sheer lag from about 70 vets on the screen doing their attack animation was enough to kill us alone.

To be fair, Cliffside final boss was always the hardest at higher difficulties, but not many people saw him since they likely exploited.

Quite frankly, more bosses need to be at his level when you’re doing difficulty 30+. Only Volcano/Cliffside scale properly with difficulty, since they involve large numbers of dangerous adds.

The sheer lag from about 70 vets on the screen doing their attack animation was enough to kill us alone.

That means you are hitting the seal too slow.
