I read about people complaining about getting kicked out of FOTM or other instances…. so the group can then add someone else who hasn’t done any work right at the end for loot.

Why has an LFG tool not been added yet?

Using an LFG tool would get more people in…and eliminate the chances of 4 friends kicking someone at the last minute to invite their own fiend who did kitten for the group. Since if LFG was used, it would automatically fill in the slot with someone else in queue.

No, unfortunately the only decent one is the third party site. I mean I don’t use it, but I guess its decent.

There is really no need for one anymore. Anyone can get a group in 30 seconds using gw2lfg.com

Considering it has a wonderful mobile app, I don’t even need to alt-tab out of the game to get a group.

What really needs to be done is for a 3-person kick system to to implemented. The real problem is that 2 people can kick anyone they want out of the group. Also they should prevent kicks during combat. These two changes alone would solve 90% of the issues.

Not everyone has a smart phone, not everyone thinks using a 3rd party site that is un-related to Anet is a good idea especially considering account security issues could easily arise. And not everyone is savvy enough to even know that gw2lfg even exists.

Game needs a built in LFG tool thats actually useful. The fact that it doesnt have one is mind bogglingly stupid.

I hope Anet sent gw2lfg.com some nice swag at the very least.

I agree, I am very lazy to minimize gw2 then going on internet to gw2lfg. It made no sense not putting LFG in gw2.

I do not want an automatic queue tool, that would be a nightmare, I think. People would vote-kick you at your first mistake because hey someone better must be in the queue.

I’d like something closer to gw2lfg.com in game, where I can post precisely which paths our group is interested in, and that we are a no-skipping-no-exploiting group.

It’s not something that is easy to implement or test especially given that the server they need to do it needs to take in requests from all the servers on the continent and rely back to each player a report of all the open teams based on specific filters.

There are alot of potential performance problems and concurrency problems there they need to work through.

If I were them I’d just create a sub forum in the forums for this type of thing that is identical to GW2LFG.com. Not only is it faster it would have none of the potential problems of having an integrated lfg system.

This is becoming a staple feature in mmos and encourages random encounters with new people. I made many new in-game friends, joined new guilds with alts, and just generally learned how to adapt to a variety of play-styles running LFG dungeons in other games.

It is fast, efficient, and just needs to be int he game. (should have already been implemented imo)

unless the new lfgtool is cross servers… its not going to be as usful as gw2lfg site.

Past arguments, of the negative impact that a LFG tool has, are completely unfounded. It’s time for a serious tool in GW2, since the positives outweigh the negatives in many ways.

At the mean time, the only solutions you have is to join a guild with a lot of people who also do dungeons, or use GW2LFG.

Domicile run dungeons a lot as a guild not because they give us influence but to just have fun together. I have never used GW2LFG.com myself and most likely never will. That is because most non guild groups for me always go badly or break up after only one path and more paths were desired as stated at formation. Then there is a lack of coordination and failure to listen to advice to consider as well. Some servers might have more unified players, not Kaineng. On Kaineng it seems like it is dog eat dog not all one server helping each other like it should be.
