Stop Attacking Speedrunners
i agree. its all the matter of choice. if you want to speedrun, join in. if you don’t like speed run, just leave the party and get your own snailrun team… it is not that hard… keyword : choice
Archeage = Farmville with PK
Like any divisive thing on the internet, there’s representatives on both sides that can’t keep their flapping gums in check.
They get that rep because a lot of the time when something goes wrong they start raging. I don’t dislike speedruns I dislike the people that attracts it.
I love speed running but yeah the people that lead them are frequently huge kittens.
I miss GW1 FoW speed clears btw. Dropping SS and watching insane numbers pop, getting a shard out of the chest, then doing it all over again (no diminishing returns)! Although the rage was even worse in GW1’s speed clear scene.
I dont mind it but the whole party needs to be on the same page. Happened yesterday with a pug party in AC. Made a party (never stated it was speed clear), went smooth until a pug decided to attack Kholer when all of us werent ready, without discussing anything and without pulling. He just went in there solo then calls us morons because we were suppose to “follow” him when he went downed while we had to jump into the fray to help him out and we went end up wiping. If he had slowed down or asked he would have known that 2 of the eles in party were new to it so they had no idea what was going on.
During the fight, he went down the most then insulted us again for not keeping him alive. Then during the next mission, he did his own thing and went down again. We were actually about to kick him but he saved us the trouble by leaving.
Stuff like that gives speed clearers ( is that a word?) a bad rep and stereotypes start to happen.
uhm. nowadays ‘meta’ is to kill kholer for extra silverz~
tho i always ask before charging him, cuze soloing him is bit boring and takes too much time.
understand speedruning only as a way to gain tokenz fast, otherwise not worth it, unless with premade experienced group.
