Stronger but faster bosses, please.
I’m okay with 2 second Subject Alpha kills.
But seriously the only bosses that have too much health are the ones in Honour of the Sponge. Most of the rest can be DPS’d into oblivion before they can even get off their damaging attacks, so “faster” bosses isn’t what I had in mind xD

I agree with adding more attacks / phases to some bosses but there is absolutely no need whatsoever to tone down their health except for HotW as Dolan said. They already melt too fast. And you want them to melt faster ?
To be fair, AC’s bosses (mostly path 2 and 3, path 1 is still a dumb pushover) are a lot more threatening in groups that don’t have much dps precisely because their health is low and they die fast, but they do behave exactly the way you’re asking for : they have faster attack rates and their “autoattack” style damage is rather high to say the least. They actually need more HP to make their mechanics matter more. Path 3 melee attacks hurt so badly for attacks with such fast rate that you can’t really stand in melee for too long if you’re not built with enough evasion (like having vigor, or things like whirlwind on a war, and keep constant, absolutely constant, dodging).

I’d cite Elite Illusionists as a design that does a good job of applying constant pressure to players who think Gear should only come in 1 flavor simply b/c they can dodge every normal telegraph from the “Big Bosses”. Granted they probably put out a bit too much DPS themselves to people who are already tussling with mages and a dozen eagles but the potential is there for Anet to learn something from them. Lyssa’s bloodstone priest in P4 is also another one that shakes up the Modus Operandi atleast a little bit.
Hmm I am not sure but if we look at the bosses they released after the inital dungeons they are not too bad, aren’t they?

Mai Trin was the worst designed boss i know of. And after that i didn’t participate any bit in living story.
You mean like worse than the giant jelly fish?
Well actually you have a point, they did release these two after the initial dungeons.

Giant jelly reminds me of HoTW bosses.
Yeah and with the amount of water I can see on the world map that worries me. It worries me a lot.

Push autoattack and go to sleep =_=
You guys cant be serious….
I have a ranger, and some parties I have been with do not use zerker builds. We tried Arah 4 and let me say, some bosses have so much health that it takes extremely long to dps them down, PLUS we have to deal withtheir instant kill mechanics.
yes there are some bosses that are boring, but their HP should NOT be increased, rather it should be balanced for all builds. Zerker build warriors will always melt bosses faster than anything, but they have the risk of dying quickly because of their low defense, yet low damage/high toughness classes should not be punished and left to dps the boss in about an hour. honor of the waves is an excellent example of such monstrosity of dungeon design.

Post is not about INCREASING hp, but about DECREASING HP and up DAMAGE+More interesting skills and mechanics

If you chose to set up a group of 5 people all in low damage builds you do deserve it.
I didn’t say HotW needed any buffs. But the end bosses in AC don’t take more than 10 to (maximum and really with only a lot of drping going on) 20 seconds to kill with a decent group. They do need a HP buff. Some bosses already have interesting mechanics but just don’t live to tell the tale.
