In a party, you can see someone’s AP by hovering the mouse over their side bar image. In Fractal content, make so so the AR sum of every item a person currently has equipped is additionally expressed in that same way, via a mouse hover over. Simply add an extra line of info there that reads ‘AR: 23’ or whichever.

That way, everyone in the party can immediately see whether their party members AR meets the appropriate level. Because, as with the old version of magic find gear, someone trying to secretly cheese it to the detriment of others running the content is anti-community.

I understand the general idea of build privacy, but AR is different. In the action of joining certain Fractal LFG’s, people are already explicitly stating to others that they possess a particular AR level in the very action of joining that LFG. So it should be there for people to read to avoid cases of deception. In Fractals, AR is more relevent than seeing someone’s AP so this feature should added to improve the Fracatal experience. It would serve to remove an area of contention and dishonesty while increasing assurance levels for people embarking on a Fractal run.

I agree with you. It’s honestly inconsiderate when people join a fractal group without AR. You technically don’t need AR for 3/4, but when you die instantly at the start of the encounter on mai or firestorm what choice does the group have…maw is ok because its easy to ooc and res but still, it’s simply rude.

Hmm, I see your points and kinda agree. There may need to be a 5-10secnon-kick phase for each person who joins so they can change into gear though

Or, when that person joins your fractal 50 and you see their health dip a lot with agony ticks, you just kick them for lying.

That’s why you also do fractal 40 instead of 39.

If their health takes a dive bomb from agony it will be obvious. They could easily be kicked from the group and replaced, meaning they wasted their time clearing the fractal as punishment.

Agreed, its pretty obvious when someone doesn’t have enough AR. And can’t really be all that mad at free labor. NO ONE should expect to be carried through a high level fractal.

More than a way to see a player’s AR, they should say the recommended AR at the beginning when selecting your fractal level or up in the right had with your personal reward level while in the fractal. That’d be way more helpful than the recommended party size, 5.

I think people have accepted that AR will be the gate-way to gear check anyways.
Personally, I don’t run fractals as much as I would like however after running 21 last night for daily (with PuG) I fully support this idea.

Low level fractals are a scourge upon the earth. It gets better the closer to 50 you are.

Sorry to shamelessly hijacking the thread but it’s related.

I’m sitting on 40AR Plus 5 on an ascended sword. With 100ish more relics more I’ll be able to infuse my back. I’m lvl 38 and was wondering if would be the right move to switch 5 of my infusions from 5 pieces of jewelry to +8 gems netting me +15AR while spending “only” 50ish gold in the process.

Tldr: giving my current status what’s the most cost effective/best future prospect to bump up my AR?

If they reveal the entire gear, then yes. If not then no.

It’s not like you need to. It’s so obvious when you’ve got a group where someone is a non-zerker, crap dies significantly slower.

An inspect feature would be useful for people who pug a lot and form their own parties.

Personally, I have no need for it, as I’m sure many others do, all you need is a friends list, guild or group of people who you KNOW won’t bring kitten-tier builds into dungeons.

Edit to mention fractals: an AR check is even less necessary than gear, because you’ll be able to tell by who’s dropping fastest from it.
