Suggestion: actually have a representative check this forum on more occasions than the day Dolan got banned to lock the thread and the day after to quell dissent.

I would love a repair anvil added to FOTM and a merch added to all dungeon entrances.

Why? He was banned for exploiting the dungeon paths so he could sell them. Or at least that’s what I gathered from all of the supposed evidence people posted. There’s more to it than he just simply whispered a dev.

Where’s the evidence that the dev acted unfairly? You guys had made that claim that Dolan was treated unfairly yet there was no evidence. The burden shouldn’t be on me to substantiate whether your claims are true or false. That’s solely on your side which have this far failed to do so.

I’m prepared to take Dolan’s word for it as he has shown himself to be worthy of my trust. Now, can you kindly point me to the evidence or not?

As far as yo saying that I should supply evidence; No. I don’t think you understand how these things work. You cannot make a claim and the require all those who question it to provide evidence whether it’s true or false. That burden is on you.

Lindbur, I happen to like Dolan, so I do take his word for it. However, that has nothing to do with what Ayrilana is talking about. Ayril is quite right when he says the burden of proof is on the defendant. This is not an American court of law where someone is innocent until proven guilty via evidence being presented to a jury. This system of “justice” is run by Anet, which acts as judge, jury, executioner, and court of appeals. Personally, I do not approve of this system; however, I did agree to it when I signed the EULA, and as did every other GW2 player, including Dolan. Because of this, I always record everything ingame before talking to anyone with an Anet logo. Knowing Anet’s previous shenanigans as Dolan did, he ought to have been similary careful. Maybe then he’d have some real evidence to base an appeal on.

My last two posts have been solely asking you to direct me to where you saw this evidence. I don’t have any intention of arguing with you whether Dolan deserved it or not, I am asking out of curiosity. You could at least stop assuming I’m here to defend Dolan, because I’m not. There is nothing inherently wrong with supporting a friend. >_>

As Ayril has said repeatedly, he needs no evidence proving Dolan’s guilt. YOU need evidence proving his innocence. That is how this particular system of justice works in GW2. Even if Dolan is entirely innocent (which I believe he is), his lack of precautions (eg. turning on fraps) before interacting with an employee of a company known to hand out frivolous bans is his own fault.

I’m siding with Dolan, which is why I have the link in my signature, but the way I present it doesn’t mean I’m automatically starting an argument when I ask to see where any evidence is coming from.

It’s more of my fault as I started this based on your post above about freeing Dolan. Since we’re derailing the current thread, I’m more than willing to just drop this and let it go back to the original topic.
