Hi ANET,

Some of us have been talking about how fun the Marionette fight is, and how much are we going to miss it after the Living Story is gone. We have been brainstorming on how cool would it be to have the marionette platform (champs/power regulator) fights eventually converted into a Fractal or Fractal Boss fight.

Do you have any plans of bringing this content back as a Fractal or Dungeon in the future like you did with the Molten Alliance and Aetherblade?

They’d have to pretty much rework the entire fight to make that happen.

they can bring it as fractal-raid and by doing that they will open a wide area of end game content for 40+ people. And FINALLY when you DC youll be able to get back in

Or they could scale it down to one group member per lane instead of 25 people, with far fewer mobs to fight off. And have just one platform for the group member to fight on (maybe NPC’s on the other 4, but make or break is how the player does).

It wouldn’t be quite the same but it might have the flavor.

I think champions fight can be used as boss fractal, but I have no idea how to implement lanes defence. It’s designed to group of people. Siege stuff, barricades and control of enemies flow

maybe it will trigger when 25 fractal groups of the similar (1 – 9, 10 – 19, 20 – 29 etc) fractal difficulty level finished their 3rd fractal simultaneously and is going to load the boss fractal level.

each lane will have 5 groups of 5 players, each group will be on 5 platform.

total 125 people all together.

how does that sound?

Just make it a high tier, instanced guild mission.

Same thing should probably be done for Teq and Wurm as well.

It would have to be reworked a bit yes, but they could do it by scaling it so that one person can take down a champ with each person getting their own platform. Then after everyone has taken out the first, the next champ pops. They could do this up to 4 champs (prob excluding the last boss as that one really is designed for group play) and then that would be the boss fractal. The agony could come from the marionette attacks. You wouldn’t need the lanes to be apart of the fight just have everyone spawn in front of a portal and when they go through it they get divided among the platforms. If you wanted the lanes to be apart of it scale it in a way so that for the first part everyone has to defend the one and only lane for a minute or so and then the boss fights.

Either way it would be nice to see this come back in some form as they put a lot of work into it and it seems a waste to have it potentially disappear forever considering how much people have been enjoying the event.

I’d prefer it as a guild mission to a fractal also.

after some thought, private instanced guild mission is a much better.
