Well I read about Berserker gear and lots of people said why it is the best gear for dungeons and I couldn’t disagree with them . But I also see that people want to use other gears as well and I think it is because people want different meta gear sets instead of one specific gear set to rule them all

So a lot of people think defensive stats are useless because there is an active defense system so why don’t you give some properties that make defensive stats also contributes to active defense and I believe that would be successful and some people might actually consider changing their gears so those are what I think that can be:

1) Vitality: might give us some endurance regeneration
2) Toughness: might give us a little chance of passive stability or some retaliation like effect
3) Healing Power: might increase reviving speed

some people might disagree and some people might have different opinions but I believe If people wants to change the Berserker Only meta that is how it should be ( Not by destroying berserker type players just by making other option more tempting )

Vitality could give X% endurance regen every X amount of points and Toughness could give X% block chance every X amount of points but I still doubt that would change anything, cuz you can do everything fine in Berserker gear

There’s nothing wrong with the current situation. You can go Zerker and go for a fast run, though it’s more stressful and you have to be spot on with your activated defensive abilities. Or you can go in Soldiers/Clerics gear and have a slower but much easier time.

It’s choices, there’s nothing wrong with the current system, there’s only something wrong with the people who stubbornly believe there is only one way to do things.

The suggestions the OP poses, would just introduce power to the non zerk options. That would be power creep and make the game easier with that option, but I really don’t feel the game needs to get easier with any option. Zerker would still be preferred by those who use it since it’d still be faster though.

Yeah stubborn people sometimes be the worst ^^ . I probably wouldn’t mind some power for non zerker options but thats just me ^^

Let’s correct your first statement. People can do dungeons in any armor and some stats may suit their play style better than others. Beserker is not best for anyone who can’t dodge, or even someone who can dodge in a group without tactics. Giving extra benefits to some stats is nice and will help people who want to a challenge finding their own way through dungeons, but it does nothing for speed runners. The speed runners will still use the highest dps gear regardless.

Maybe it’s just my opinion, but aren’t non-zerker, defensive stats (like clerics, pvt, ….) already powerful enough? What’s the point in buffing them?

Because people don’t know skritt about game mechanics, thats why.
Protection,weakness and frost aura together already mitigate between 33%-93% damage. Add in some slaying potion for another 10% damage reduction and even zerker will survive tha nastiest attacks. If you wear deffensive gear, you won’t ever die ….

Deffensive gear is OP, nerf it! It only supports noob afk gameplay.

Nice catch, forgot about that.
But i guess weakness already reduce the outgoing damage from the mob, after that protection, frost aura and potions should reduce it further additively, as other things works here.

My point was however these mechanics in game are already available for non-defensive geared characters too and provide such great damage reduction that you can hardly get just purely from stats, meanwhile lost a lot of damage potential.
I hope i was clear now. :S

I definitely think it would be interesting to explore this sort of thing.

In particular, Healing Power not affecting how you rez somebody has always seemed a little weird to me.
