From what I understand he isn’t against selling; he’s just against EXP being included in that package, what I can’t really understand tbh as people would simply do crafting, eotm or whatever.
I disagree with OP.
I know there are the few people that like to “switch toons at the end” but saving the XP reward to open on another toon would technically allow me to completely level up a toon without leaving my starting location.
It’s a bad idea to have a level 80 that you have never played with…

He doesn’t want a daily-chest with the EXP inside. He wants a chest that spawns after you killed the final boss and yields you the EXP. So you have to go to the final boss, punch him in the face, loot him and get the EXP while looting him.
I don’t see the issue when EoTM lets you spam 1 and rake in the experience.
The second part of my suggestion is that the XP should be missing from the chest if the player does not contribute to the final boss kill – i.e. do reasonable damage.
