I’ve finally gotten into raiding a bit, and I’ve noticed a few issues that are more pronounced here than in any other area.

One issue is that enemy attacks are visually obscured. An example of this is the player port aoe circle for Vale Guardian. These aoe circles are quickly buried by friendly AOE / other visuals. In general, enemy attacks and aoe circles quickly become buried, or are not ever visible, because of the myriad friendly effects going on.

Aside from managing them through LOD, I am asking that there be an opacity setting for party / squad / friendly attacks and AOE circles.

My suggestion is to add a slider that would adjust how opaque player attack effects and AOE circles are. By default, friendly attacks are completely opaque. Meaning, they are completely visible. As the slider moves, friendly effects become more translucent. When the slider is at the other end of the scale, friendly attacks and aoe circles are 100% translucent, allowing us an unobscured view of the enemy’s attack animations and aoe circles.

Thanks for considering!

If only.

Instead we got a checkbox that hardly changes the problem.

Good suggestion. Has been brought up several times before.
Would not only improve raiding experience (especially the VG example you bring)
but also in many other places in the game, like World boss-Events, where not only 10 but 100 players’ effects are firing. It could also improve the experience of players on low-spec machines as it would take pressure from their hardware.
But I’d like to add, that I would want my own effects to be always visible to myself, because it is the only feedback I get if the skill has properly fired or not.
