[Suggestion] PvE Dungeons new mode
Yeah sure, wasting some more DEV time on old content, where it is already hard to find a group for for most of it.
Instead of finally giving us some new permanet content. How about we burry these heroic dungeons on the bottom of the whole list that we want for this game.

I really wanted to like dungeons. I still do. My most memorable times in dungeons were the time where stacking behind a pillar was not the meta against spider queen in AC. I think Fractals were suppose to be “Dungeons 2.0”, but the gear grind on agony infusion really put me off… and I heard there’s other problems, which prompt the CDI thread.
We need more diversity in dungeons. Instant death is just as unfun as melee stacking and speed runs being the meta.
I would like to the 5 man dungeon build dumped completely.
Most dungeons in just about any MMO are stone cold boring largely because so much of the player base has an “its a job” attitude. Apparently its a job they don’t like judging by how little is said, how often people leave without a word, how fast they run through it, and how fast the team breaks up once its done.
Insta-kill mechanics would only enforce zerker builds further (Not that I have a problem with that).
What I would love is for all these “stack and press 1” people to actually try stacking and just auto attacking on zerker gear. See how well it goes.
Sure hard mode or heroic or whatever you wanna call it would be nice. I’d never take a non-zerk group in there though, it’d take the whole day. Also, I’d rather play new content than this.
After 1 year that i play gw2 i can look 1 problem: dungeons are booring and too easy. Now alls play dg on full zerk rush, kill legendary like ambient mobs and all is became gold-farming.
Well, my suggestion is:
introduce a new dg explorer mode like others mmorpg in Eroic mode.
- More difficult to kill bosses.
- No “stack” : insta-kill if no dodge
- no only “full zerk” in one spot of area for kill averymobs.
- Need REAL strategy for get forward in dg with multiple classes and build.I would see real battle in dg and not only stack/1111111111 and run away like a blind in linear road.
Rebuild all dg and update a mode without eliminate actually exploration mode.
With this we could have 3 modality for play this game and all player will be happy. normal players, hardcore players, casual gamers
1) I can agree with this as long as bosses get new mechanics and NO hp boosts (looking at you HoTW).
2)No Stack=people not dodging to you, just what? seriously do you not dodge when you stack?! please just please learn what stacking is before you talk about it, ugh.
3)My best guess as to what you are talking about is a combination of things:
LoSing (line of sight):
This is using some object to block line of site forcing ranged mobs to, well, get in range. It has been in every MMO I have ever played(and many single player games as well) why should GW2 stop this?
Stacking(standing near each other):
This has never, and will never, be an exploit. Why? Think about what happens when all five of you go melee? oh yeah you end up stacking guess melee is an exploit then.
Zerk gear:
This isn’t the issue. The issue is anet can’t buff other gear for what ever reason.
4) Play fotm, seriously, at higher levels it becomes really hard if your team doesn’t have certain things like stealth or reflects/absorbs you wont be able to finish. Warning past lvl 30 you are gona have to start running that dreaded zerk gear or it’ll be hard to get a group.
Whenever someone mentions stacking and 1111111111 in the same line I die a little on the inside.

1) Fix world hunger
2) Cure cancer
3) Make everyone happy
Who agrees?
They just can’t press a button to add more fun / challenge / strategy or fix stacking / full zerk. Ideas are really worthless without any suggestion about the implementation.
But I agree on adding Erotic mode!

Thanks for coming, guyz. I was already feeling hopeless in reading the first names/posts (ugh), but then the dungeon regulars came with their shiny zerker gear, swinging their swords and sorting this thread with their 1-skills.
No dodging required. Just stack on top of each other!
Ho cool so instead of stacking with zerk, organizing, optimizing to speed clear, your “difficulty” suggested is to have everyone in PVT stuff, ranged, spamming 1 ?
This is the difficulty for you ? Oh yeah truth in it : difficulty to stay awake in an insanely boring game.

@messiah: do you actually play dungeons or did you just watch some videos from these forums?
I find it hard to find a point in your post which wouldn’t be completely wrong and on which I could start. But let’s see:
Skill – ability to predict future developments and to instantly adapt to the unpredictable ones
Strategy – a plan formed to counter predicted enemy movements, or a plan devised in order to secure benefits for you/your party
No stacking =
1) no party boons. GW2 doesn’t have long range boon sharing, eliminates an aspect of strategy
2) demands ranged weapons (natural stacking for full melee parties) – ranged weapons eliminate the element of skill as their reaction times, number of events you actually need to react to and their risk/reward ratio are significantly dumbed down and reduced.
Not “zerker only” =
1) I’d actually support a buff to rampager set, to bring it up to zerker level

this could imply tanky gear – tanky gear eliminates the element of skill, as well as element of strategy, because of lower risk/reward and lower need to react to immediate events (lupi kick for example).
“More difficult to kill bosses” – this could mean anything, but most likely not what you are trying to achieve.
“REAL strategy” – I don’t see how going ranged in tanky sets could benefit strategy at all. It actually seems to me, like it completely kills off any strategy, and any skill involved in running dungeons.
I do believe that what you want is the holy trinity, or something close to it with gw2-ish system. In which case… wrong game bro, try one of the new MMOS coming out soon

You’re wrong. They carry you by healing and tanking for you; if it weren’t for them, you wouldn’t be able to survive and do dps, melting down bosses.
Also, dodging reduces dps frequency.
well mine is only suggestion but i’ve seen that alls gw2’players love farming dungeon in 5 minutes and ok, u can continue to play a booring game like current gw2.

1)i haven’t spoken to dungeons with “fotm” but only tyria dg and i’ve played all dungeon more times (for answer Silferas). Fotm is ok, i have 42 reward level now.
i haven’t request tank-healer-dps-dot etc. My request is update the difficult on dgs (not like HoTW)
2) no man, when i ve played with party zerk, dodge were useless because boss die so real faster
3) now dgs not need strategy. All players going in corner and attack for kill boss and after run and run and run up to next boss.

If you think this game has healers and tanks you might want to go back to WoW (or what ever else you played before). Guild wars 2 has never had, and never will, support those roles. Actually you should probably stop grinding dungeons all together. From what I’ve seen you don’t like running dungeons efficiently which means you play for “Fun,” or as we call it casually. Speed running/meta builds are for those who enjoy putting our faces to the dungeon grindstone. If you do wish to run dungeons start lfgs saying “casual run kill everything etc.” this will sure make things more fun for you (or you’ll realize we were right and meta is awesome).
PS just because people can read your deplorable English doesn’t mean you are exempt from striving to be better. The better your writing skills are the more likely people will take you seriously.
Solution:
Keep explorable the way it is. It’s fine and enjoyable for many people.
Add vanquisher mode. Slightly raise difficulty of some of the trash, give +75% the gold reward for vanquisher runs.
This doesn’t ruin dungeons and also adds something for those folks who like to kill everything and not skip.
