Everybody knows about the old Switch to my low lvl Character at the end of the dungeon for the xp reward. My question is, Will it still work if my character is below the required lvl for the dungeon?

Example. Doing a AC Exp (lvl 35). Get to last boss, Zone in before boss dies on my lvl 13 Mesmer… do I get the reward? or will I just be SOL?

Dont think so nor do I think the devs want you to (be able to) do this.

Yep, I occasionally switch to alts under lvl 20 for AC completion if it’s a guild run. Regardless of level, you still get about 2/3rds of a level per first time daily completion. (Without DR of course).

I have seen people switch to a lv 40 on the last boss of Arah path 3, so yes it can be done.

It lowers your silver reward though. A sub-80 doesn’t get the complete 26 silver

You’ll get less karma as well.

Who runs dungeons for the end reward? the bosses in between offer more.

I can confirm it does indeed work, did it last night and swapped out to my lvl 12 mesmer and got the xp,karma,coin, and token reward. the xp,karma,and coin were obviously based off of my lvl but the xp was worth it to me!

You’ll only get around 70% of your exp bar no matter what level you are for completing a dungeon though.

No dungeon has a required level. They all have recommended levels.

Experience is just like any other drop, except you have to be more creative, if you want to spend it where you think you most need it.

However, the money scales down as well.

When push comes to shove, the fastest way to level is take one character, grind dungeons/fractals and use the gold to buy all the crafting professions. You can earn the gold to buy a level 80 character way faster than you can speedrun a character up to 80.
