its not that bad once you learn what to skip:) the 1st boss is hard..
Yeah, seemed like the was no warning on the aoe spew. Like I would take damage at the same time the red circles appeared, whereas in other dungeons I get time to dodge. And the respawning flowers! I can’t even tell you how annoying those are. Keep in mind as an engineer, about 3/4 of my kits and abilities would just miss them completely.
The room near the beginning with the worms is probably the worst part. but it gets better with practice. AOE is great for keeping the blossoms down. We like to fight right on top of the worms, it seems to help for some reason.
I would urge caution with trying to skip too many mobs when runnings PUG’s. It is often a recipe for disaster.
The Blossom are both a blessing and a curse. If you’re downed you can rally by simply using your 1 ability on one of them; they get annihilated in just one hit and you’re back on your feet again.

On the 1st boss room, the wurms, as long as your ranged players know where to stand it’s very easy. All of the vine will target the ranged (if they r in the right place) and your melee can dps unhindered. It’s how the wurm farm is done.

For bosses there will be a warning before things happen, but don’t look at the ground for circles. It’s in the boss-animation (glowing, loading up, turning towards you .etc), so pay attention to what the boss does and you can instead avoid things before they even hit the ground. (circles only appear when stuff is on the way)
For some attacks and large AOE’s you don’t even get a ground warning (circle).
So it’s a good thing to keep in mind for all dungeons.
If you can’t get out of a large area of incoming dmg, time your dodge to the moment when you are about to get hit and you will evade the dmg even if still in the AOE area.
The Vines also have minimum range on the spit attack.
This makes the encounter is really easy for melee characters.
As a result, ranged classes should move into melee range as well.

Doing all melee won’t work so well. More worms will spawn and be able to range ya while you’re hitting up another worm.
I do think that beginning boss could use a little bit of a nerf. For the required level of the dungeon, it’s a bit rough.
You could just remove the chest it spawns and put that chest somewhere else. So if you did nerf it, people couldn’t farm it for cores.
Honestly, the worm spew really needs a windup, because it’s insane right now. The wurm room is 90% of the dungeon’s diffuculty, and feels more like a dps test than anything else (As in, enouggh dps to down center wurm before you have 5 more spewing death around the room)
i don’t find it all that bad except for the knights. they are out of control.
I was also frustrated first time but now after around 30 runs its fun. Its just about tactics and timing.

I’m actually quite surprised that people find the wurm part in the beginning that frustrating. I don’t believe it requires any nerfs at all. We usually kill some of the flowers, concentrate (call target) on one of the wurms, dps it down, continue to the next one until the boss wurm appears. When other wurms respawn, we take maybe 2 of them down and continue with the boss. I tend to move a lot around and dodge, heal, remove poison from team mates and the like. Like Oglaf said, if you get downed kill a flower. If someone else dies, don’t go res him in the aoe, let him rally from a flower.
First couple of runs it was difficult, but now it seems really easy.

It works a helluva lot better than trying to range them, that’s for sure! Haha.

Whenever I walk into the room of the 1st boss, 9 out of 10 times I’m the only one bombarded with red circles.
Not sure if this is intended or not, but what I quickly figured out was that whoever is getting shot at just needs to line of sight. After that, the wurms just sit their, only doing their ground pound and rarely spewing at what appears to be the NPC. The person hiding can either afk or do the red circle dance. Since the 1 person is dealing with everything, everyone else is free to kill the wurms and then just the champ, ignoring the rest, when it spawns.
i normally find the vines easy, i only do TA on my ranger/warr, my ranger stays at 1500+range (keeping a close eye on my pet) and warr goes melee; neither have any trouble
i prefer nuking the greater vine as soon as it appears than killing the adds as they spawn
though i HATE the knights… so much; leurent is ridiculous; i darent get near a knight (of which he has three with him) but hes so weak in comparison
