So I went into TA today with a randome group. And up the the last boss went pretty normal we killed most boss quite fast. Then at the endboss there was already a bunch of spiders around him. The normal happend the NPC ran up to him and got consumed and even more spieder spawned. We where lik ok what ever and pulled some spieder and killed them but every time we killed a big black one a new one spawned. THe boss healed up everytime as we had to pull back to not die or got wiped.

I didn’t do the dungone in quite some time but I dp remember that you hat some breathing room between the spieders spawning. Any tips how to handle the amount of spieders?

The way we kill that boss, we just autoattack the tree from 1200 range away and avoid using AoE skills to not pull every spider in the room at once.

I am a guardian. I can’t do that the others in my group where another guardian, a thife and a warrior and a necro. Would be a sham if a group like that could not kill the boss becaus 3 of them don’t have 1200 range atks.

I run TA fairly regularly, and AFAIK the Fwd-Up boss fight has not changed. Like stof said, my group just auto-attacks from 1200. Make sure not to use any AOE, attacks that bounce, or any illusions/pets/minions.

Well, necro with staff and warrior with rifle should be enough The rest just focuses on providing might stacks with guardian fire field + thief shortbow blast combo :p

It does, so guardians in TA fw,up path have no problem ranging it unless you have a guardian with tunnel vision that only uses staff and no other ranged weapon

This fight is pretty easy to melee if you have a pair of guardians, just cycle wall of reflection, shield of the avenger (very strong here), and possibly sanctuary. The other 3 members of your team need decent dps, focus on the boss.

The guardian staff only has 600 range anyway so it’s a no go already. The necro staff isn’t really AoE so it’s mostly fine.

LaronX, the scepter for the Guardian, as others have mentioned has a 1200 range : )) both skill #1 and #2 so there’s workaround there. but agreed. i’ve only done this path once, and the spiders were pretty ridiculous lol. i gues ranging it down would be the best bet now.

The boss itself spawns more spiders. If you see him raise his left leg (right on your party’s viewpoint) he is about to do his AoE (no red circles to indicate this). Make sure you double dodge this backwards as it has a pretty wide range. I think more spider spawn if you don’t dodge this AoE attack, but not very sure on this. They stop spawning after awhile though.

I also think the tool tip for the Guardian’s scepter autoattack has an error on it because it sure doesn’t feel like 1200 range. I’ve tried attacking from the same distance as a staff ele and a staff necro (both 1200 range on auto attack and both were on the roots on the left side) and it kept saying out of range.

Try to explain it to the pug. They will only scream “NO AOE”. Also, if you would dodge sideways or even forward, you only need one dodge.

About scepter. It does have 1200 range but few weapons can be used there with higher than their normal range (you can even use range 900 shortbow on thief from about 1050 range).

Thanks for the tips guys. I’ll try to keep them in mind guess I have to “support” and keep stuff in case of aggro away from my team. Would be nice if the guardin would finaly get a real ranged option T.T

Just get a portal gun and portal up to the big leaf across from the vines. Once there stand on the very edge and auto attack the boss without getting attacked from a single spider xD Utility items ftw.

Guardians are not allowed to deal any dmg on a ranged unless they give up there elit skill for it. You want more then 33 sec you have to sell your soul to grenth. True story.
