Taking responsibility
It’s impossible to get people who signed the kitten contract to accept responsibility for their actions when they mess up. You think anyone sitting behind a screen feeling special would admit to flaws every human experiences? kitten no.
Guardian – Vindicator Azure
Thief – Labrat Thief
Some things are clearly buggy, werent tested, or were tested and ignored.
I find it incredible to believe that no one noticed for example the door on arah locking you out of finishing 2 paths. This is something even an amateur testing group given less than 5 hours could have figured out, repro’ed and submitted. So either it wasnt tested. Or the devs looked at it and sent back “working as intended”
neither one speaks very highly of Anets ability to get stuff working how it should be. So when players encounter things that are difficult, the first instinct will still be to assume it’s overtuned.
If anet cant get a door to work properly, a door that players noticed and reported was bugged less than a bloody hour after the patch went out, why should we ever assume that bosses or trash groups are working as intended? :/ (especially in light of say SE path 2 which was added in, and then like 4 hours later got 2 red posts saying it was “a bug” )
EDIT:
I would like to add. I have played a lot of game, seen a lot of bugs in my time, and played through every dungeon path. There are a lot of buggy things. Is every difficult thing bugged? No. But quite a lot of them that I found difficult were usually fixed somewhere down the line, or have a wide majority of forum and ingame players assuming bugged (for example, sparks in simin are very very very obnoxious sometimes, making the fight luck based if you try to actually do the mechanic)
