Heart quests, Crafting, WvWvW, i tried a little bit of everything except dungeons. lotsa dynamic events, too. Regardless, the way I play isn’t the issue here, stay on subject or leave the thread please.

I did the same. And always wondered how people could get to 80 that fast. I never thought to even try dungeons because I assumed – naturally – that the exp wouldnt be any better.
While I agree with most of what you said .. but then you went “I get 1-shotted quite often from enemies, and I’m a tanky-type” … losing all credibility in my book by making such a false statement.
I am on the same boat, I was really excited to do dungeons after I finally hit 30, got into AC with a PUG, were more dead than alive…and I decided not to enter a dungeon anymore, since I didnt get any useful loot (random stuff is cool), got a huge repair bill, wasted time dying…and got bored/irritated out of my pants….basically…I went into AC and the only thing I gained from it was a repair bill, frustration and wasted time. If that was your intended design, then gratz, you achieved it, but I doubt you wanted to design something that players would avoid.

If you played CM Story, the missiles WILL one shot you, even as an 80 tanky type. Don’t ask me, its not the only one, its just the most prominent one, from the golem after the investigation. This may have been fixed, but it doesn’t resolve the rest of the many problems.
PS: Theres many instances where you can just die instantly outta no where, with no obvious sign, Dots, undodgable boss attacks, and god-forbid if you’re melee in any of these instances…

I’d like a response as to my first query from a GM. what are you guys thinking? The other threads say ‘this is how were doing it, end of discussion’ but the simple fact is, you’ve broken the game, told us its working and also claim this isn’t supposed to be a grindfest. I’d like to hear your reply. I’ll wait.
1. If by cover-up you mean stickied at the top of the forum…
2. You probably didn’t notice the part where they said the rewards are currently broken. 3. SE wasn’t made harder.

Come on guys…it’s totally NORMAL to have problems in your first run..
This game is not about rotation or stat, it’s about skill. Evrey death you get is experience that DOESN’T fill your yellow bar, but you must collect it in your head.
At our (me and my guild mate) first attempt of AC story, we cleared in 1:45 minutes.
Now we can clear it with 50 minutes.
At first time in the new CM, we cleared in 1 hour and lots of horrible death while pushed by fighter or bombs. Now we clear in 30 min.
Stop whinning, admit that you’re not the perfect gamer and you need some time to get used to the difficult.
Finally. I made AC first time at lvl 60. You can level to 80 only with heartquest. Also you can level to 80 only doing dungeons! Anet wants you to take the perfect route you wish/prefer to get to 80 (even crafting. Really, you make lots of exp with crafting!!)
