The LooT fix
As much as I agree with the post and would like it to happen… you may as well tell this to a brick wall, because the devs aren’t going to be listening, and if they are then they won’t do anything about it.. they love their 20-minute-men.

The problem with your fix, although I somewhat support it is that it would give even more incentive to find ways to skip to endbosses and just kill them. This would certainly not affect me in any negative way, but it could kitten off some people
Also, the idea of making the unique skins account bound is dumb as hell. It’s a system that doesn’t work. Make them unique and SELLABLE. It’s what gives people incentive to do hard content: for a sought-after skin that can sell for a good buck. Look at how well it worked in GW1. Imagine all the dungeon skins in there would have been customized on acquire. No one would do dungeon runs anymore. With the system they had, plenty of people ran dungeons, because there was a chance of a rare weapon that could sell for some good money.
I don’t want even more dumb account bound weapons that will end up being salvaged for a couple of ecto’s anyway. Especially seeing how my luck in this game is abysmal and I’m lucky to get .6-.7 ecto’s/salvage instead of the .9 most people seem to get…

Sellable weapons i think would be either to common or so rare its not worth the farm. Account bound allows them to drop more often and still be rare.

If you want to go this far with your suggestions, you might as well add in a reason to not skip trash mobs along the way. Otherwise your suggestion if implemented would increase the incentive to skip not just trash mobs, but the other boss mobs as well.
No, I like farming cof

No, not really. It worked perfectly fine in GW1. The rare weapons were expensive, but by no means out of reach. And that’s taking into account that in GW1 there were no transmuation stones and if you had the skin but with the wrong attribute or too high of a requirement, you’d be out of luck and wouldn’t get any money. People still farmed them.
If there is a high enough demand, there will be people running it, no matter the RNG.
