Dodges have a limit, and it’s not difficulty to be spammed with 20k hits, it’s gimmick.
Shooting a dog with an automatic rocket launcher isn’t really giving him “difficulty”, just giving him no choice but die.

Mossman has rocket launcher? o.O
I hope its a (culling) bug it certainly seems so because before last major patch it was fair if done without glitch….(and notice how ppl ALWAYS answer L2p to everything…).
There are workaround though:
1) look in the minimap it should be visible there.
2) rally on wolves (mostly this)
3) try to time your rolls acording to time he is stealthed
4) ress only if you have invul skills and/or no aggro
5) ignore L2P answers
A PvE player is supposed to avoid a 1-2 second 1 shotting aoe.
A WWW player is considered uncapable of avoiding a 5,75 second aoe for half his health.

Yes there is a limit in dodging, which can be mitigated by endurance regen like Vigor, traits, food ect. If you are dodging when not needed then that is a learn to play issue. State your class if you want specific help.
Also Mossman dont have rocket launchers.

Mossman deserves a rocket launcher. He’s been exploited his entire existence. Even when played legit he’s too easy. Give the poor guy a rocket launcher!

so true, the poor sap has been victimized over and over by tree climbing exploiters, he needs a buff if anything.
If your hit and you have like 10% hp left, just jump in the water and regen full hp fast. Then rejoin the fight

He can be rough when he has his sights on you during regular fighting and if he decides to pop on you during stealth it’s very likely you’ll be ooe. One little thing that can help though is to have your team not completely kill the adds as you can quickly dispose of them for insta rallies. gl.
His behavior after the tree climbing glitch was fixed has become very odd. He no longer coordinates his attacks correctly much of the time (I’ve seen him moving one way but hitting people he’s running away from with his normal attack), does very odd things while in stealth (such as teleporting), and what was once a fair opportunity to dodge his big agony hit has become very frustrating as he now seems to charge the attack while in stealth instead of immediately after breaking it (culling issue?).

Both of these. Died to him on my mesmer yesterday. Part of it was needless dodging, I’ll freely admit. But the needless dodging was a direct response to seeing him pop out of stealth and instantly drop me to 10%, with no charge or anything. Then, for good measure, he was chasing me around and throwing daggers at me. Even with the party being good about keeping me from dying and with rallying off wolves, I wound up getting downed too much and insta-dying.
For comparison, I don’t recall ever having that much issue with him while I was still doing fractals on my Thief. How much of that is my memory tricking me and how much of that is luck/truth, I can’t say. . .

Quite bad boss design honestly, all other bosses have interesting mechanics but this one is just gimmick.

No kiting needed full melee, why increase the the fight duration leading to more chances of mistakes happening.

How do you exactly “full melee” a boss spamming you with 20k hits?

2) State your fractal level
3) Whats your gear choice and AR?
Then i can help you, unless i know that all i can tell you is dodge since its universal to all classes.

Projectile reflects/blocks are your friend. Swirling Winds, Wall of Reflection, Feedback, Shadow wall, Magnetic Wave, Mes focus skills if traited, Whirling defense, daggerstorm……ect ect
Other then using those correctly time your dodges as best as you can, and rally off wolves when necessary.
