Hey guys, what are the pros and cons of sigil of speed in dungeons?

It makes my RP walking feel unnatural. I suggest we nerf it to give vitality instead.

Well, a pro is that you gain swiftness in dungeons.

The con is that you lose force, night, etc.

But I personally would give anything to have swift in a dungeon, it is irreplacably amazing,

Please stop derailing this thread by discussing the derailing of this thread. We are discussing the pros and cons of Sigil of Speed (see OP and title).

A little late to the party but, Sup Sigil of speed costs a charged lodestone to craft which could instead be used to forge a sup rune of the scholar or sup sigil of the night. This is by far the biggest con that a charged lodestone could be improperly used.

Ok um pro lets see … you could kill a trash mob then use your speed bonus to run quickly and skip other trash mobs?

assuming no one else is giving swiftness it would be an additional boon which may in turn grant one more percent damage if you’re a guardian traited with Power of the Virtuous

Skipping trash mobs is exploiting and also off-topic.

it is actualy good for skipping trash in dungeons like arah or champion farming , you dont have to use another weapon or utility skill to give yourself speed.

You are way too off topic . You need alot of practice .

pro – granting swiftness
con – only after killing an enemy + swiftness for a max of 10 secs

Sugestion to devs – prema swiftness will make this sigil more attractive, maybe someone will actually use it then

Imagine a staff guardian in a zerg event like the Temple events. With sigil of speed, the guards will have even more mobility, resulting more tagging and thus, getting more loot bags. This is an economically valuable sigil!

You can only use 4 sigils of speed at the same time. And what about dungeons?

I used to run sigil of speed on my engineer when farming in orr. I don’t think it was capped at 10s, but perhaps that changed. It was nice to have swiftness for a minute after killing a bunch of trash.

In a dungeon, I can’t imagine using it. If you need swiftness, someone in the party can easily provide that. But I’d also assume that this topic is in jest.

2 sigils of speed on a single wep? That much swiftness would clearly be game-breaking. It could allow a player to maintain perma swiftness, which is just blatantly a bug. That amount of swiftness might even allow players to exploit dungeons by skipping the adds!

But I digress, and for fear of being infracted, I must stay on topic.

Anet please nerf sigil of speed! every time i join a dungeon they ask me to ping my weapon and i have a sigil of momentum because i am really squishy as a thief and it synergizes well with my gear (clerics gear w/ venom heal build) and i get kicked evrytime by pugs that only want sigil of speed because you can skip all the stuff faster!!! please buff other sigils because people only use sigil of speed now and more sigils should be good so i can use sigils how i want!!!

On topic: I combined 4 minor sigils of speed to a major one today.
