“it doesn’t make you spend hours preparing to have fun, rather than having fun”
Guild missions say otherwise.
Have any of you heard of the Font of Rhand/Flame Temple Tomb?
Its a place located in Diessa Plateau, accessible only after successfully completing a certain dynamic event chain. Its a ‘dungeon’ by appearance but there are no group limits here, everyone can come if they reach the portal that leads to it in time.
Its also a dungeon in its most purest sense; it has traps, room puzzles, and treasure; generally a feeling I find lacking in most of the other dungeons in this game. It’s even got a quirky environmental doodads that let you jump off a platform while ‘grabbing’ at a chain fixed to the ceiling to reveal a crucial item to use later in the dungeon.
I encourage everyone to go check it out if they haven’t, and I really hope future dungeons in GW2 will be more akin to this one.
Yup, ive done this one. It is interesting:) One of the few hidden “dungeon/boss” events around gw2^^
All those loot chests you can get from this dungeon is great;)
I got to this but got stuck on the Cold Torch part, with fire breathing heads haha
There is a very small open world dungeon in Gendarren fields as well.
I really liked the idea and wish they were more fully implemented. Is there any 80 open world dungeons? Never found any that high.
No we have special champions + events like dragons in lvl 80 areas which arent bad either.

Hint: Touch the fire and look at what the buff does. Then pick up the guns on the floor.

I did as well. I discovered how to do it, I was just unable to solo quickly enough. Sadly, the respawn and being “trapped” under some coffins as I opened them proved to be too much for me. After 2 hours of trying to take care of the flames only to get the LAST one and then see that it had already restarted in other places… yeah. If I had one other person, no problem, but I find it difficult to find people who wish to do things like this for anything other than speed runs.
I like the one in Fireheart Rise myself;
Similar to the one from OP; it has actual dungeon-like feel to it.
and I really hope future dungeons in GW2 will be more akin to this one.
No, please no. For what it is, It’s quite fun. But imagine wanting armor or something from that dungeon. Having to do the same puzzles again and again which you already know. Even doing CoF you get to kill a bit and dodge around.

Forsaken Halls in Dredgehaunt Cliffs is also a great open world dungeon with lots of interesting mechanics.
Vexa’s Lab in Fireheart is another excellent mini-dungeon.

I still couldn’t figure it out, I was never able to get anything to reflect.
Try releasing a bubble then shooting it.
Also ran this for the first time in a while last night, I forgot how fun it is! Also, now the end boss gives a daily reward chest like the fire elemental / other world bosses, so that’s pretty awesome.
